Support for Biden impeachment inquiry grows with a notable level of Democrat backing: poll

The support for a possible House impeachment inquiry against President Biden is growing among the American public, with nearly a quarter of Democrats saying they would back such a move, a new poll has found.

According to the NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll released Wednesday, 49% of U.S. adults say they would support the House of Representatives officially launching an impeachment inquiry into Biden amid allegations of corruption within his family, compared to 48% who would not.

That number is up from the same survey in October that found 47% supported such a move, and 52% would be opposed.

An impeachment inquiry is most notably supported by 24% of adults identifying as Democrats, although a majority (74%) would still be opposed.

The poll found that Biden's approval rating remains heavily underwater, with just 40% of adults approving of his job performance as president and 53% saying they did not approve.

That number is weighed down heavily by those identifying as independents, with just 36% approving of his job performance and 59% disapproving.

Despite being a traditionally reliable Democrat voting bloc, younger voters' views of Biden also appear to be dragging him down, as just 39% of Gen Z and Millennial voters approve of his job performance, and 50% disapprove.

Impeach him for his senility and for his criminal activities.

How about extortion to get the guy investigating Hunter fired? Traitor Joe even bragged about it in public

Would the allegations be related to Ukraine and China?

I’m trying to figure out the angle. The Dems know what they’re doing. This was planned. But why?

This could be the answer for the Ds Biden Problem. If some join the Rs, we’ll have our answer.

The angle is to get Biden out without going to trial in the Senate. Think about how it was handled with Nixon 50 years ago.

At some point, as the investigation turns up more and more dirt, the Mainstream Media will start covering it for real and lionizing Harris as America's best choice to lead the nation. That's when the Democrats send a "death squad" to the White House to tell Jill and the others behind Biden that it's over, and he has to resign for reasons of health.

We are wrong if we think conveniently removing the unpopular Biden to allow the Dems to get the most exciting vote getter to run for President is somehow a good thing.

We can say on Biden’s behalf:
après moi le déluge

I figure Dems think an impeachment will solidify their base, which is crumbling like a mud-cake in the rain.

A plausible scenario but Brandon is so brain dead stubborn, not sure he would acquiesce. First he would pardon Hunter then maybe, just maybe think about it with advice from Obozo.

He’ll pardon Hunter and then resign.

As long as Biden can read a promoter and take direction from the earpiece he stays. He’s the perfect figurehead. He does exactly what he’s told to do and has the power of the Presidency.

The Senate will never, ever vote for removal and I think there are too many RINOs in the House to even get to impeachment, especially since all of the Xiden conduct did not take place while Biden was president.

It makes SloJoe have a scandal so that is valuable in some sense, but I predict that Mike Johnson will not have an impeachment vote—because he would lose it and then Joe would come off looking better for it.

Which begs the question, how the heck did the House impeach Trump twice for nothing?

A tiny few of the leading Dems could put Joe out the door easily. Chuck would eventually go to WH and tell Joe it’s over and to move on.

What does the Constitution specify as one of the impeachable offenses? And influence peddling, or “selling access” as it is quaintly known today, is a federal crime by statute. So there might be a clue in there for you.

The angle is that they don’t think they can cheat enough for him to win so he must be gotten rid of before the nomination.
