I spoke to John (Humblegunner) the last two days to see where he was, was he okay, etcetera, and I was absolutely floored to hear how well he's doing!
He left FR to attend Divinity School with the intent to pursue a life of Christianity and live in the Love of Our Lord. He had no internet there, or cell phone access, and devoted his time to becoming closer to Jesus and to God. He mentioned he may even become an ordained Minister.
His parents sadly passed away, but left him a 200 acre cattle ranch and a stack of money, with which he has built a house on the land and purchased a new truck, both of which he is grateful and proud to have.
I got the sense he'd return to FR, but don't expect him to change THAT much. 😂 He'll still be the grouchy old Humblegunner we all know and love. He'd just be doing it with the blessing and love of Jesus, these days. 😊
We discussed organizing a Free Republic shoot, heck, he's got the property for it! I'm wondering about March or April '24.
He sent me some pictures and they are posted, below.
