I can see the kid tearing it apart, saying, “There better be a pony in there somewhere!”
Yep! One horse-power.

They skipped the best feature! There’s a button you can press and it transforms into a casket so that when you die in it, they don’t have to move you to bury you.

When factoring both mileage costs and other costs of operating these cars, one needs, additionally, to factor in the ambulance, hospital, and funeral costs after any minor fender-bender...

For San Francisco or NY it would be perfect; the real advantage of EVs that I’ve seen is when you are just inching along in stop and go. Going 6 miles in SF can take half an hour including parking, most of that barely moving, that’s where an EV with a 20 mile range works well. And given how much Ubers and Lyft end up costing it will pay for itself in a couple of years.
The old hot rodder in me wants to get one just to see how much power and speed could be gotten out of one.

There’s a guy I read about, and he buys Chinese electric stuff and tests it
So far the vehicles and construction equipment, while small, are very economical and well built.... for the price.
He has a ranch and works the hell out of them.

Good for city driving but I’d stay off the freeway with it, also some country driving.

At least it’s less likely to explode and kill your family and burn the house down

While it does not seem like it would be the safest vehicle on the road, it’s probably safer than a motorcycle.
If we could get the $7500 EV tax credit we would be getting paid to own one. I’d take that deal.

It’s good to easily identify the class of purchasers.

A base model car costs $6,500That is exactly how much our Fiat x1/9 cost in 1976. I loved that car.

Low mileage?
Impossible.
