Our public health agencies are like an FBI for public health with a monetary incentive.

Maybe you thought our public health agencies would undergo some contrite introspection after blowing it on basically every major COVID-19 policy (masks, lockdowns, school closings, vaccine safety, and efficacy, therapeutics, etc.). Yeah, sure. They did it all on purpose, their only regret being they didn’t do it to us gooder and harder. (Shortly before stepping down, CDC Director Rochelle Walensky said she regretted the messaging, not getting the policies wrong. Masks forever, boosters galore, follow the teachers’ union science, as long as the messaging is clear and forceful.) And they’re still at it.

From Newsmax, this about Dr. Jeffrey Sachs, an economist at Columbia University, regarding NIH:

A prominent "lifelong Democrat" scholar and economist who chaired a COVID-19 commission blasted Dr. Anthony Fauci and others for promoting "massive government lying" regarding the coronavirus, and accused Senate Democrats of refusing to investigate the virus' origins...

Two things should have been a huge tip off that something stank ...

That the only people who were allowed to give CoupFlu shots were pre-approved, federally registered vaccinators.

And that, especially earlier on, most if those approved, at least in my neck of the woods, were public sector employees.

I would love to know how the vaccinator thing came about.

A friend with a diagnosis of pneumonia and Covid was given 3 prescriptions which included Paxlovid (which causes more Covid rebound than not taking it), an antiobiotic, and an inhaler.

Wouldn’t you know when they tried to pick up the rx at the pharmacy, the pharmacy never received the antibiotic and inhaler rx, and only had the Pfizer Paxolvid. See if you have a Covid diagnosis during the plandemic, doctors were forbidden from writing any prescriptions for meds and I guess that now includes rx needed to treat pneumonia. So my friend has a Covid diagnosis and somehow can’ get an inhaler or antibiotics. It may be commercial interst too, Pfizer lost a bundle on Paxlovid after people kept getting Covid after taking it. So, eliminate all meds.

My friend called the doctors office 3 times and the medical assistants became frustrated. She obtained a prescription for an unfamiliar med. It may be that the CDC is searching records for all patients with a Covid diagnosis and crossing checking their prescription history to make sure no doctor prescribes anything other than Paxlovid. Maybe the docs get in trouble if they write rx for patients with multiple diagnosis, one of which is Covid.

I don’t think so. I’ve yet to see evidence that the Epoch Times publishes anything scientific at all. The claim, for example, that masks don’t work is completely opposite of what the scientific research shows.

Given that they lie about the science, I can’t trust anything they write.

Anyone can access VAERS and run a database search.

The reports are fully readable by everyone. What is not publicly available are personal details. Researchers can access the personal details for the purpose of verifying a report, requesting further data, etc. And they can't just access that information willy-nilly; they must have a justification for it.

Somehow, something seems like it is missing here. I'll just say that I am skeptical.

Since viral infections often leave people susceptible to bacterial infections, I seriously doubt that someone prescribed an antibiotic would not be able to get that antibiotic. Same thing with an inhaler, which would have been prescribed to decrease airway inflammation and ease breathing. It is possible that someone made a mistake and sent the prescription to the wrong pharmacy or forgot to send it, but I seriously doubt that the prescription was censored.

About 10-16% of people treated with Paxlovid experience rebound. The rebound is not actually caused by the Paxlovid. It happens in people who have taken other antivirals, as well as people who received no treatment. It is caused by how the immune system fights disease.

You did not read that in the medical literature. That is a story widely spread by professional antivaxxers who coordinated early on to undermine public health efforts to stop the pandemic.

Here are some selected medical/scientific journal articles on masks:

Experimental Evidence for the Optimal Design of a High-Performing Cloth Mask. Figure 7 in this paper shows efficiency of a single layer (top 6 panels), a double layer (middle 6 panels), and a triple layer (bottom 6 panels) of fabric for blocking sneeze droplets. The authors of this study also found that cotton and polyester cloth masks were more efficient after being washed once or twice.

Human coronavirus data from four clinical trials of masks and respirators. This is a review of several studies of transmission of coronavirus under three conditions: no mask, surgical mask, and N95 or P2 mask. All studies showed the highest transmission among the non-masked study participants. The coronaviruses in this study were those that cause the common cold, not Covid (but transmission characteristics are quite similar).

Impact of community masking on COVID-19: A cluster-randomized trial in Bangladesh. This study of 342,183 participants randomized into mask wearing and non-masked groups found that masking decreased transmission of Covid by 11.1% overall

I can keep posting links to studies showing efficiency of masks in decreasing the spread of Covid. There are a lot of such studies. The value of scientific studies is that they are based on observation and data collection and analysis. Recommendations to wear a mask are made because the data supports such recommendations.

As for the antivax claim that masks are dangerous because they block oxygen? Also not true. SARS-CoV-2 viruses are about 100 nm in diameter; an oxygen (O2) molecule is only 0.346 nm in diameter. That means that a SARS-CoV-2 virus particle is 289 times as large as an O2 molecule. Unless you wear a solid plastic mask, the mask cannot block oxygen.

This worries me greatly. I have been very very very sick since Saturday. Heavy phlem sore throat itchy cough feels like pneumonia ,, sambucol elderberry products usually kick these symptoms to the curb but not this time. Ivermectin probably kept me out of the hospital but hasn’t gotten rid of it. Just as it starts to clear in the day it comes roaring back at night. I have a previously made doc appointment next week . My doc and I have been on very strained terms since Covid started as I have refused all attempts to be c19 tested or vaxxed.

( that and the whole statin script I didn’t fill and when my numbers came down told him I never took it just changed my diet /-)

I could sure use something to fight this crud but no way on earth am I gonna take Paxlovid if prescribed it and get the same run around.

I already have a standing script for inhaler ( new ones are worthless,, out of breath ?, shake this for 30 seconds and see how much more you’re out of breath,, aholes,,)

and albuterol for nebulizer ( for copd that I never had till after I had c19 in Nov 2019 )

I have been getting breathing relief best from 500mg tummeric in hot water w/ honey

and one of those NebuAksol breathing devices,

that bring up the phlem instead of having to cough so much to get the phlem up and out,

saves a lot of wear and tear on the throat and the muscles used in coughing.
