Stephen Miller says Trump will invoke a law from the 1700s to mass deport migrants, including minors, without any due process: “This is an extremely powerful tool”

Wait till you find out what year the Constitution was ratified.

The Constitution was ratified in 1788. Soooo... forgive my ignorance, what’s the point?
IRONY.........
The WH was making a big deal that supposedly Trump was going to use some ancient ‘LAW’ from the 1700’s, and that somehow made it obsolete, evil and really, really bad.
Then Rep. Miller posted that the Constitution was from the 1700’s, so it must be obsolete, evil and really, really bad, as well............................
And the law that Trump is citing has been used multiple times, and as recently as WWII. It’s hardly obsolete.
Aliens have no right to OUR Constitution.
We extend the Constitutional PRIVELEGES to them, and they can be revoked at any time.................
1700’s???
What’s the big deal!
I suppose these folks who denigrate this idea have not ever listened to a Rolling Stones song? Keith Richards was born, it’s rumored, in 1789.
See my point?
A law from the 1700s? Which way did Joe vote back then?
They constantly argue: “This is (the current year). You can’t possibly think like they did back then.” To the left, history starts when they got out of bed on any given day.
Why don’t we make money off of these illegals? Charge each one of them $10,000 to go back to their country. And any charity that brought illegals into the country charge them $10,000 to send each one back. Look at these people as a cash cow. give them two months to get out or round them up and charge them. Stay in jail until you come up with the 10 grand. Coyotes work both ways.
The left does belive the Constitution is obsolete, evil and really, really bad.
Hate to break it to you but the US government was and is the main source of funding for these NGOs.
When the various cities cry about states like Texas and Florida busing in illegals, they ignore the fact that the vast majority were sent by the federal government and their pet “charities” (more like contractors). The main difference is that the governors’ buses arrived at noon rather than the federal planes at 3 AM.
Ok. I now get it. It fits. Dems only apply laws they agree with. This applies to their treatment of our "ancient" Constitution as well.
Well our President’s from the 1940’s…..
...until they can use some obscure interpretation of it to hamstring a conservative policy.
Which is why it is actually a dead document. If one group pledges fidelity to it and the other group only uses it as a weapon to gain power, it is no longer a force to anchor the nation in the founding principals. It has become a force for the destruction of those principals.
Thank you. I was confused until you explained it. Makes perfect sense now. Actually pretty clever on Miller’s part.
Hate to break it to you but the US government was and is the main source of funding for these NGOs.
This should be a Trump talking point and commercial, NOT ONE CENT OF USA TAXES TO NGO's THAT BREAK THE LAW. And all that work and fund them will be charged and face prison time. Alas I can dream./s
What about that ‘insurrection’ act from the mid-1800’s? By this logic, that should take care of Jack Smith, no?
And just who would enforce that law and charge him?...................
