It was a rough day.
At night, there was a Russian missile attack on Selydove, Donetsk region. Right at residential buildings. Four missiles. There are dead. There are probably people under the rubble. The rubble is being cleared all day. All the wounded were provided with the necessary assistance. More than 20 houses were destroyed.
Another Russian strike hit Zaporizhzhia region, also with missiles. Among the dead are rescuers. They arrived at the scene after the first hit and started helping. And then there was a second strike. My condolences to all those whose relatives and friends were killed by Russian terror.
There was a lot of international communication today. Of course, first of all, about ways to provide more protection for Ukraine and all our people from these savages, from Russian missiles and shelling.
I spoke with Prime Minister of Italy Giorgia Meloni. I thanked Italy for its principled and powerful assistance to our country, for the protection of Ukrainian lives. Ukraine greatly appreciates that Italy stands with us at this moment. We also appreciate Giorgia’s personal energy, all the activity of Madam Prime Minister, with which she advocates for assistance to our country. We discussed our security cooperation and support packages. We exchanged views on the situation in Europe and the world. We also discussed some issues related to the new EU sanctions package. Italy will preside over the Group of Seven next year, and we are already working on the relevant priorities. Common priorities.
I spoke with President of Slovakia Zuzana Čaputová. I expressed gratitude for the support and fair recognition of Ukraine’s success in getting closer to the European Union – in our movement towards full membership. It is very important for our entire Europe to become stronger, and every state on the continent that respects the common rules of the EU will benefit from this. We discussed preparations of our energy sector for the winter and, as we expect, for the intensification of Russian terror against energy facilities. Of course, we also discussed economic issues that are important to our nations.
Today I also held talks with Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada. Defense support. Strengthening our air defense, our mobile fire groups and protection against Russian drones. There are specific agreements. I thanked Canada for its continued leadership in sanctions against Russia. There is a new and important Canadian initiative – a coalition of partners to return Ukrainian children who were deported to Russia. We also discussed the issue of completing the Holodomor Genocide Museum. Canada has agreed to help with this in Ukraine. I am grateful to Justin personally and to the entire Canadian society for such an understanding of Ukraine.
I also held several meetings today. I would like to mention a meeting with representatives of the law enforcement sector, including the Head of the Security Service of Ukraine. He reported on counteracting collaborators and protecting Ukrainians from those who deliberately incite hatred within our country.
I also had a meeting with the Minister of Defense and other government officials. All the key issues boil down to ensuring the protection of people, Ukraine’s ability to conduct offensive operations, and our ability to strengthen Ukraine – to overcome the accumulated problems.
Everyone in Ukraine must remember, especially those who have stopped noticing the war because they are fully focused on politics: Russia is still capable of doing evil. No one will be able to turn a blind eye. We have to fight. We must keep our defense as a top priority. And we must make our state stronger every day.

President Zelenskyy’s Peace Formula: new members join the Energy Security Group

The involvement of new countries in the work of the Energy Security Group will help accelerate the implementation of President Zelenskyy’s Peace Formula. This was stated by Minister of Energy of Ukraine
German Galushchenko during a meeting with Minister for Climate, Energy and Utilities of Denmark Lars Aagaard, in which the parties discussed cooperation between the countries within the working group “President’s Peace Formula: Energy Security”. In particular, they discussed the involvement of new members of the working group, with Norway recently joining the co-chairs.
German Galushchenko thanked his counterpart for the effective work of the Danish side and noted that the co-chairmanship of Denmark and Poland in this group was extremely important and productive. Lars Aagaard, in turn, reiterated Denmark’s support for the initiative of the President of Ukraine on the Peace Formula.
The parties noted the success of the third meeting of national security and foreign policy advisors in Malta.
They also discussed the involvement of a wider range of countries in the work on the Peace Formula.
“The approaches we are developing together in the framework of the Peace Formula can provide valuable information in a global context. The wider the geographical coverage of the Energy Security Group, the more valuable the results we can achieve together,” said German Galushchenko.
The meeting also discussed energy security proposals for the final document on the implementation of the Peace Formula, which will be considered at the Global Peace Summit.

Situation in energy system on 15 November

Enemy shelled the territory of a TPP in Donetsk region, gas companies in Kharkiv region restored gas supply to consumers who had been without it for five months
CONSEQUENCES OF THE SHELLING
The enemy continues to shell energy facilities. The area near a thermal power plant in Donetsk region was shelled. There were no casualties, and power engineers are inspecting possible damage.
In Kharkiv region, a medium-pressure gas pipeline was damaged by shelling. More than 300 consumers were left without gas. Most of them have already been reconnected.
At the same time, gas supply has been restored to a settlement that had been without gas since July due to the hostilities.
POWER GENERATION
Power generating facilities are operating normally. The coal and fuel oil stocks are sufficient for the uninterrupted operation of the power plants. The amount of electricity generated is sufficient to fully meet the needs of consumers and industry.
Four TPP units were shut down for short-term repairs. One of them has already been put back into operation. Repairs are ongoing at the others.
SITUATION IN THE FRONTLINE AREAS
More than 40 settlements in Donetsk region lost power due to the hostilities. Repairs are underway.
In Chernihiv region, enemy shelling damaged an overhead line. Almost 500 consumers were left without electricity.
In Kharkiv region, repairs are underway at energy facilities damaged by shelling. Deminers and special equipment are involved.
In Kherson, 76 customers were reconnected overnight.
In total, over 23,600 customers have had their electricity restored over the last day.
Some customers in Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Chernihiv, Kharkiv and Kherson regions are still without power supply.
SITUATION IN THE REGIONS
In Dnipropetrovsk and Kyiv regions, 11 settlements are without power due to bad weather. In Sumy region, 60 settlements are without power due to technological disruptions.
SITUATION AT THE ZNPP
A slight decrease in the water level in the plant’s cooling pond has been recorded – it is now at 15.67 meters. This is sufficient to meet the plant’s needs.
EXPORT/IMPORT
Over the past day, exports totaled 321 MWh, while imports amounted to 4,455 MWh.
