Man Visits Shelter Every Day For 2 Months To Convince Dog To Let Him Adopt Her

Imagine walking into a shelter and instantly falling in love with a dog. Now picture that dog, with a heartbreaking past, who has lost faith in humanity due to her struggles. This is the story of a man named Joe Rotunda, who visited a shelter every single day for two months to convince a fearful dog named Alva to let him adopt her. This tale of patience, compassion, and unwavering dedication is a testament to the transformative power of love and the strong bond between humans and animals.
When Alva was adopted in 2020, those at Austin Pets Alive believed she had finally found her forever home. Sadly, she was returned to the shelter in 2022 due to her condition. Alva suffers from wobbler syndrome, a neurological disorder that affects her spine and neck, causing physical limitations. As a result, Alva became defensive and fearful, which made finding her a permanent home a daunting task.
The moment Joe Rotunda came across Alva’s photo on Instagram, he felt an instant connection. Despite the shelter staff’s explanation about Alva’s fearfulness, Joe knew he wanted to give her a chance at a better life. He made a solemn vow to gain Alva’s trust, no matter how long it took, because he knew she was worth every effort.

Someone has gotten his eyes opened, about both BLM and President Trump. This will certainly add to the stream of black recognizing a president who wants them to do well and get their piece of the American dream. Happy to hear about this.
I was just reading about this poor dog - imagine continuing to feed a little dog so much that he couldn’t even walk. Shameful. Thankfully, he’s a happy pup again and running around!

I saw the title but I knew I couldn’t stand reading it. So sorry, I’ll pass.
I knew somebody that did that to one of her cats, it was so so sad.
I’m surprised, he’s a brave man!

Virtually no one believes home prices could possibly drop 50%, to the long-term average. Except, long term averages are created by prices going below the long-term average. That would be a 75% decline in home prices. The reason no one believes it could happen is because most people have most of their wealth tied up in their homes. The thought of that asset declining by 50% to 75% is unthinkable, therefore they say it could never happen. Denial is not a river.
They say this even though the chart above clearly shows we are in the middle of the greatest bubble of all time, generated solely by money printing. If you think the Federal Government can take our national debt to $60 trillion with no consequences and the Fed can take their balance sheet up another ten fold to $90 trillion, then you can rationalize today’s home prices.

Hey Judy!
It rained all day, and turned to snow around 5 p.m.
Gonna be a slippery mess for sure!
Boy am I glad not to have to go anywhere today!
*evil grin*
It’s not bad really, as they don’t dwell on the time he was a chubster. He looks so cute now and runs around and loves his little life. In any case, nice to see someone save him!
Glad you’re home and snug as a bug in a rug....how’s the pain? Not there, I hope.
We’ve had 3 days of dark gray skies, wind, cold, rain, and misery. It’s getting a little old, frankly. Makes you feel a little bleak sometimes, but, on the other hand, I’m getting my knitting projects done lol.
My granddaughter (the 9 year old) had a couple of her friends at school tell her they liked her sweater, so she told them her Nanna made it for her. So they asked if Nanna could make them one, too. lol so she said, sure! Thankfully I have a ton of yarn, and even more time, so I’m making the two kids a sweater, but I told Audrey that’s it. She said she’s got 15 girls in her class, but I said sorry, this is it. I’m only making these two because she’ll be pretty disappointed if she told them yes and then has to tell them no. The things you do lol.
Spunkyyyy? Where are youuuuu?
Did you get more snow? I hope you’re not snowed in.
Every time he comes in, he marks me with his scent glands to make sure he owns me.
MTG is a national treasure. She is one of the very few members of Congress, who is on the side of the non-government dependent middle class.
Hi Judy, no not snowed in. It all went away and we have rain today.
My eyes have been burning so bad that I am going to be taking a break from the computer for awhile to see if I can get some relief.
My youngest grandson was here setting up some HUE Lights that he gave me. You hook them up to Alexa and then you can tell her to turn them on or off and to change colors. That is going to be fun to do. I will probably drive Alexa nuts. Alexa turn on the living room lights. Alexa turn the lights purple. Alexa, Alexa. Lol
Ooooh sorry about your eyes, Spunky. You rest them, young lady. They have to serve you for a good twenty years or more! Have fun with those lights. Give Alexa a run for her money!
I was disappointed in MTG for the McCarthy/debt ceiling debacle, but listened to her interview with Tucker and she is a fighter, and it must be brutal swimming against the current day after day in that cesspool. Bad enough swimming against the current in clean water.
oh good, a happy doggy ending!!!
I need to take Cooper out for more walks - both of us need the exercise and time with nature
but not tonight, I’m fighting a couch
no, that would be a cough
the furniture is all behaving itself
