Not taking anything away from Sen. Paul, I had to perform the Heimlich on my sister about 10 years ago, never having even seen how it’s done before, only having heard of it, and I’m sure not a doctor! Popped a piece of steak out - it went about ten feet across the room lol.

Yes it does! I had a little taste of that, I had chronic arm pain for years from tendon and nerve damage. And then I had that cornea neuralgia pain.
I think chronic pain takes on a life of its own that most people don’t understand. It’s very emotionally draining as well as physically. I couldn’t think much farther past the next ice bag or eye drop.
So I really feel for you. Prayers that you have a very good day!
oh... I just got the kittens and Mama they’re spay and neuter appointments. Middle of january. That gives me about 6 weeks to find a rescue that will take them. Or take one!

I was wondering why until you got to the next statement. Maybe it has to do with a higher birth weight? But then the question becomes why are the birth weights higher.

I’m so glad the price of eggs has come down, I do love them. The Food Network says the sign of a good Chef is how they can cook eggs. And you are phenomenal!

It was so weird how it happened. We were at the cottage, just my sister and me. Nobody else around. She was eating some leftover steak and bam....stuck. She was fairly calm, but started to wave her hand, tried drinking water, the water came out of her mouth. I was sitting on the other side of the room, and didn’t even have time or presence of mind to ponder what was happening and what to do. I had heard of the Heimlich, and I knew you had to grab them from behind, and shove your clasped hands, like a fist, into them somewhere, somehow. I guess I lucked out and did it right.
When I sort of fell apart was sitting there afterward, thinking about what could have happened. I thought about how she could have slowly died right in front of me. It made me very nervous and I sat there shaking as she finished her steak. lol

Come to think of it I would have no idea how to perform that on somebody. Other than what I’ve seen on tv.

Just a thought....some don’t scroll earlier than the delicious breakfast post when they hop on each day. It would be a shame to miss the birthday post. Maybe you could repost it just in case? Or maybe I’m the only lazy one who often starts out at breakfast and not before lol.
I don’t know if it was so much being a trooper as being cheap. My sister has the first nickel she ever made. There’s no way that steak was going to waste lol.

I think the rule of law has been dead for a while, or almost dead, anyway it's getting deader and deader. We must comply! or be silenced.
I saw that Dr. Carson was being considered. I love Dr. Carson. He’s such a fine, fine example for the minorities....born in disadvantage but didn’t take the chip-on-the-shoulder victim route. Rose up and became such a great and honorable man, making more of his life than most.
It would also be very interesting to see the evil left attack him. I just don’t know if he’s got the “badass” qualities needed to be president. OTOH, if he works with President Trump for 4 years, he will surely learn. There’s also a chance he may not even want to run for president in 2028.
All in all, I think he’s a very good choice for VP.
