I used to have a web site where you could plug in a surname and it would tell you how many in the US and world-wide and from where, show a map of the places we are from...kinda of all the info you gave. dang if i can find it today.

there are few sites that let you plug in a surname of these sites and not all the info matches each other...some ae more detailed than others...

You do have a way of showing up quietly summarizing what’s been going on in a short phrase, that’s quite a gift. You have the gift of discernment.

I’m not dwelling on anything. Correcting the record is not dwelling. I never think of her. I remember fondly the rally parties and the good people on the train. But when things are presented in a less than honest way, I’ll correct the record. That’s it, I don’t spend any more time thinking about it. I have kittens to play with after all.

Here’s an analogy. If posters don’t want anybody to talk about cheez-its, then bringing it up fairly often is counterproductive. They can’t bring up the topic of Cheez-Its and then say nobody gets to talk about them. Or tell us when we’re done talking about them.
I’m 100% sure that not one of us brought up Cheez-Its without there being a corresponding post FIRST. Go ahead and look back in the posts and see if I’m wrong. Most times if not all the time, that’s what has happened.
So it’s easy to remedy in the future.

Here’s an interesting take on the whole thing:
If I was sitting and reading this back and forth discussion of how my words had made people feel, and what people thought of me because of it, I would be mortified. Yet our posts are all being read by the two individuals involved, and we hear nothing.
As a Christian, or even just a half-decent person, if a number of people felt this way about me because of my attitude and remarks, I would be bending over backwards to make things right. I would feel awful for the upset, the division, the disunity caused by all of this.
Does anyone see any remorse? Humility? Contrition? Dismay? Anything? Did it ever occur to anyone that we have some trolls on our once-happy thread? “You will know them by their fruit.” Think about it.
You know they’re reading it. That, my FRiends, is VERY telling.

Those images are from a 25x optical zoom PTZ security camera that friends let me install on their house up in the hills near Mt Rose, overlooking the rest of Reno, NV.
I tend to use my iPad’s photo editor to bring out the color and definition a bit on the nicer looking captures. (Saturation, Vibrance, Blackpoint, and Definition touches, typically.)
Having been up there and seen that view first hand many times, I feel my adjustments usually look a bit more like what I think I’m actually seeing.
(Or maybe I just like my skies better, in more shades of blue...) 🐸
