A transgender student has shed tears of happiness after a judge dismissed a lawsuit that contested her admission into a sorority at the University of Wyoming.
Wyoming U.S. District Court Judge Alan Johnson, 84, ruled that he could not override how the private, voluntary organization defined a woman and the order that she not belong.
In the lawsuit, six members of the 40-strong Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority chapter challenged 21-year-old Artemis Langford's admission by casting doubt on whether sorority rules allowed a transgender woman.
The sorority sisters who sued said Langford's presence in their sorority house made them uncomfortable - and alleged how Langford 'has, while watching members enter the sorority house, had an erection visible through his leggings. Other times, he has had a pillow in his lap.'
They also accused her of taking photos of them at a slumber party and to have made inappropriate comments to them.
Following the lawsuit's dismissal, Langford is hopeful for a fresh start this semester.
'Maybe I can just be another student on campus, another regular sister in the Wyoming chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma?' Langford told The Washington Post. 'Maybe I can just be me.'
The lawsuit portrayed Langford as a 'sexual predator' but the judge found that claims about her behavior turned out to be nothing more than a drunken rumor.
The suit also alleged Langford violated KKG policies by joining the sorority despite not being a woman, or making an effort to look like one.
'I wish it didn't matter to me. All the things they said. How they painted me like a mannish freak,' Langford said, speaking of the suit.
'Some parts were completely made up,' Langford said. 'Others were things I remember but in their version was twisted to look weird, gross, sexual.'

Why does it seem that no one ever addresses the obvious: WHY DID THOSE GIRLS ISSUE AN INVITATION FOR HIM TO JOIN, DURING RUSH???
The hard truth, for those who didn’t go to college with a Greek system, is that the houses filled with “10s” are going to rush girls who are tens. Same with the fraternities - based on wealth, looks, and/or athletic success. Houses recruit to their kindred values, good or poor.
These girls issued at least TWO invitations to him, put him through a pledge course, initiated him with the national’s blessings, and NOW are all suddenly squeemish? The virtue signaling children can suck it. They went out of their way to bring him in. They are phoney victims.
The headline and snippet are misleading. The fake girl got in. That being said there are a couple of issues. Some girls didn’t want him in, however he was accepted into the sorority by the sorority membership. Why?
Also, the judge said that the sorority’s rules didn’t define a woman? The word, “woman” is infact a definition of a woman. However, according to the judge a woman can be anything unless specifically defined. Do all words need definitions in this day and age?
By the way, you telling me I have a “defect” in character is just you trying to bully me with words to try and affect a change in my viewpoint. So you are doing exactly what you are saying is wrong to do.

But the court did intervene when it dismissed the definition of woman.
The word woman IS the definition of a woman. However the court said that the sorority rules didn’t define a woman. The judge just defined a woman to be man or woman unless specifically designated by the sorority rules.

I think a private org can define how they want. They may decide only green headed monsters may join, and go on to define green headed monsters. Obviously insane, but, it’s a private org.
Just don’t join the trans “sorority,” ladies, they don’t want you. They prefer men in womanface.

Wyoming is a big, sparsely populated State. Lots of wide open land that hardly anybody ever goes to. It has a large population of predator and scavenger animals.
