In European or other country terms, the word "conservative" can mean almost anything -- fascist, or monarchist, or racist, or theocrat or even imperialist.

But in the USA the word "conservative" means none of those things, not even a little.
In the USA, the word "conservative" has always boiled down to just two ideas:

1. the US Constitution & Declaration, meaning Founders original intentions as modified by ratified amendments.

2. traditional, i.e., Judeo-Christian, moral values aka "family values".

Those are what Free Republic is all about.

If you are here to advocate some other BS nonsense, then you are posting on the wrong site and should go where you belong and are wanted.

  The claim that Soros organized Ukraine's 2004 Orange Revolution is standard Russian agit-prop, but I've seen no actual evidence proving whatever Soros contributed had any material effect on events, or that things would have gone differently without Soros.

  What's certain is that Ukrainians then and today overwhelmingly want their independence from "mother Russia's" deadly embrace and are willing to take help from whomever can support them.

  So Russia's claims of sovereignty over Ukraine (or anywhere else!) are unspeakably insane and Russia's numerous threats against, and invasions of, it's neighbors are pure evil, well outside the scope of acceptable human behavior.

  Vlad the Invader is a genuine mass-murdering war criminal and Russians who follow illegal orders are themselves guilty too.

Leftists control every major institution in the country.

The US Constitution has obviously failed as a means of preventing a total leftist takeover.

Unlike “Constitutional Conservatives”, Pinochet and Franco and Salazar were actually able to defeat leftists and protect their countries - at least while they were in power.

American “conservatives” lose to leftists even when they are in office.

I ask Constitutional Conservatives: What is the plan ?

In order for Constitutionalism to work, Leftists have to agree to abide by its terms. But they are not going to do that.

So now what ?
