I ask again: What are American “conservatives” conserving at this point ?

Leftists control every major institution in the country.

The US Constitution has obviously failed as a means of preventing a total leftist takeover.

Unlike “Constitutional Conservatives”, Pinochet and Franco and Salazar were actually able to defeat leftists and protect their countries - at least while they were in power.

American “conservatives” lose to leftists even when they are in office.

I ask Constitutional Conservatives: What is the plan ?

In order for Constitutionalism to work, Leftists have to agree to abide by its terms. But they are not going to do that.

So now what ?

The million-dollar question. We’ve just about reached the limits of “democracy”, which is tyranny. Far too many problems have resulted because of this. Too many individuals in the process that prefer to destroy the Constitutional Republic, or (thanks to the malicious and evil so-called educators) have no idea what it takes to maintain it.

The nation of our Founding Fathers meant for the franchise to be limited and for those participating to be Godly individuals maintaining a Christian culture and society. As long as that was the case, we could keep a civilized government and culture. Multi-culturalism is an abject failure. You cannot bring in massively different groups from all over creation with different identities, different values, different religions, etc, and hope to keep a coherent nation. The only way it could remotely work would be for said individuals to jettison the cultures, languages and exotic religions and embrace Americanism (as it once was).

You had some difficulties with different European groups melding together in the 19th century and early 20th, but they all tended to share the belief that once in America, they were Americans. No more being this group or that, they spoke English from then on. Although they had different Christian religious identities, it still basically fell under the aegis of the Founders’ vision.

Once the import of more exotic groups, non-Christians, would pave the way for the dissolution of the Founders’ vision, the rise of Socialism (which hijacked the Democrat party as long ago as 1896), the endless wars adding to endless military and foreign expenditures, the passage of the 19th Amendment, the welfare state policies (leading to the crippling of Blacks and the destruction of the Black family) and other massive government “plans” over the 20th century and the Republicans (beginning with Eisenhower) refusing to alter these destructive policies and either roll them back or end them.

Within 15 years of failed Republican (and de facto Socialist) leadership under Ike, the complete disintegration of Christian family cultural values in the 1960s/70s, abortion/”the pill”, essentially limitless immigration from third world countries, et al, and then the embrace and worship of decadent and evil behaviors, sodomy and the malignant “transgender” movement. Millions of children raised in single-parent households resulting in a massive uptick in crime (also a result of anti-family welfare policies), the removal of basic law enforcement in the cities (either via cops or local (Soros) D.A.’s), and we now have almost complete societal breakdown, all far removed from anything resembling the Founders’ vision.

What’s the answer ? Since the left (espousing a Satanic agenda) won’t even permit dissent from their diseased and malignant cause, no longer see a problem with cheating at the ballot box (including RINO collusion with the Demonrats), going to war to remove a President (committing endless crimes in the process that should’ve sent Obama, Hillary and Pedo Joe to prison for high treason and electoral fraud/subversion), and using corrupt judges to do their bidding, we may have to look back to Rome for a possible solution. An authoritarian leader who will have to forcefully correct the problems of our Republic to set it straight once more.

I think the system at present is too corrupted to be fixed within current parameters, and too many individuals will attempt to stop it to allow for the continued degradation. I cannot see us continuing another 10-20 years like this without massive civil disruptions, which will now happen at every election. There’s no longer any way to reconcile the two sides when one side is clearly evil and stands for everything antithetical to the Founders’ vision.

I forgot the person who said that Republics have a problem lasting more than, say, 200 years or so. This Republic having been corrupted by tyrannical democracy, it’s remarkable that we’ve managed to last for the past 100-110 years (some more hardline elements argue that the bloom came off the rose with Lincoln’s election, but you can also argue he had to be an authoritarian in order to resolve the situation he was handed. He was, despite that, successful in doing so). I think somewhere between Wilson and FDR we got too far afield from where our Republic’s values held. Failure to eliminate their Socialist disasters and undermining of our nation by Communists, both foreign and their domestic Soviet puppets, paved the way to today. While America won the “Cold War” in the short term, the Soviets’ long game in releasing termites into our nation (in every aspect) appears to have been the true victor, 32 years after their fall.

Again, I thank you for exposing yourself and your comrades as the worthless pieces of nonsense that you are -- G.D. Putinista fascists posing on the conservative Free Republic site, you are here to argue why American conservatism is all just a pile of bunk and now we need to "move on" to the "real deal" of fascism like, Pinochet, Franco, Salazar & Putin, and while we're at it, let's add in the others too -- Mussolini, Hitler, Asian imperialists and on & on.

All pretended to be "conservatives" in some definition of the word, but none were true conservatives the way Americans on Free Republic define it.

That's because the essence of American conservatism is the Constitution and the Bible, not necessarily in that order.
We are here to defend both against constant assaults, assaults from the Left, and "the Left" includes communists, socialists and fascists -- in practice all the same things, authoritarian, big government control of everything important.

There is only one plan that can work, has ever worked and has always worked when we've used it.
We must convince a majority of Americans that our ideas are better, our results vastly superior and our country much happier than under socialism, communism, fascism or whatever other nonsense is popular du jour.

Fortunately, or unfortunately depending on your perspective, our ideas must always win out in the long run because, as Winston Churchill famously quipped:

“You can always count on the Americans to do the right thing, after they have exhausted all the other possibilities.”

The longer the Left misrules, the more miserable the country becomes and the more willing are Americans to accept our conservative values.

The issue is only how far do we have to fall and how deep does our misery need to become before our fellow citizens can be persuaded to "see the light"?

You may still remember Pres. Peanut Carter in the 1970s, followed by Ronald Reagan in 1980.
Today, imho, we are sunk orders of magnitude below Carter's era, and need only effective Republican leadership to bring us back out of it again.

And least we lose heart in our hours of darkness, and turn to false gods like fascism or other authoritarian nonsense, remember that God Himself gave us words to live by:

Matthew 5:13 “You are the salt of the earth.
But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again?
It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot."

And there's more, a metaphor that the Gipper himself was proud to use on his most special occasions:

We are Free Republic and so we are all about the Bible and the Constitution.
We have nothing to do with socialism, fascism or any other authoritarian ideology or rule by lawless violence.
Our traditions and patterns come from the Founders Declaration, Constitution and all related documents.

If you are here to take us off our chosen path onto a different road, the road to perdition, then you need to spend serious time burning in heck, to get rid of such lunatic ideas.
