While I may be an expert here in detailing the ‘projects’ of the Neocons, I’m not one on weapons, but it looked to me that a shotgun may have been useful against the dudes flying low in the para-gliders.

go to palmetto state armory and get a perfectly good home defense AR15 pattern rifle for about 1/2 of that and spend the rest on ammo and training

Imagine this: a bad guy is behind your wife with a knife to her throat but you can see his head. You are 20 feet away in good cover.
Will you take that shot with a shotgun?

Don't sweat the "mag vs clip" crap.
I have both and I'd use the AR for defense against a killing mob. Get extra magazines for quick reloading. The Israelis who could fight back generally use AR's.
