The UAW should be going on strike against Biden, not Ford and GM.
Biden spent 12 minutes on the UAW picket line. “You guys, the UAW, you saved the automobile industry back in 2008 and before,” he told the striking automotive workers.
“Wall Street didn’t build the country. The middle class built the country.”
And then he flew off to San Francisco for a fundraiser at Atherton, California, the most expensive area in the Bay Area, for a fundraiser at the $33 million home of Mark Heising: a Democrat megadonor who is also the Chair of the Environmental Defense Fund. Heising’s Medley Partners manages funds for his father-in-law and Renaissance Technologies founder Jim Simmons who has been described as “the greatest modern day moneymaker on Wall Street.”. So much for the pretense of choosing the “middle class” over Wall Street.
Biden may spend 12 minutes and speak for 87 seconds at the UAW picket line, but he spent hours raising money in the Bay Area which is the force destroying the automobile industry. In Michigan, Biden pays tribute to the middle class, but elsewhere, he bows to Wall Street.
The UAW didn’t save the American automobile industry in 2008, it helped nationalize it. And the Obama and Biden administrations used that leverage over the automobile industry to promote the Silicon Valley and environmentalist agenda of eliminating cars and replacing them with EVs.
Electric vehicles mark the death knell of the middle class. For Wall Street, EV companies like Tesla, funded by government fines on ordinary car manufacturers and buyers, offer the promise of getting in on the ground floor of a booming stock. Tesla has been followed by a series of other tech EV firms like Rivian (heavily backed by George Soros) that are not financially viable. Rivian, at one point, was spending $220,000 to make cars that it sold for $81,000.
But environmentalists are in love with EVs because they will end mass ownership of automobiles. The Biden administration, following the lead of Democrat states, is moving to end most sales of real cars by the 2030s. By 2032, 67% of cars are meant to be electric. And since 53% of Americans can’t afford EVs, that means most of the country won’t be able to own cars.
That’s bad news for automobile owners, it’s also bad news for automobile workers.
The UAW strike is a direct response to the growing investments by Ford and GM in EVs. These investments are deeply misguided and a complete disaster for shareholders. Ford loses an estimated $32,000 on every EV it sells and lost $3 billion in total on EVs in 2023. But don’t get the idea that Ford is selling many EVs. It only sold 61,575 EVs in 2022 and yet its projections say that it will sell 2 million in 2025. This is implausible without a government car ban.
But if Ford were to sell 2 million EVs, who’s going to cover the $64 billion in losses?

Are they still on STRIKE?? DUMBASS UNION THUGS!!
Hard to believe that current policies are not specifically chosen to cause destruction of our society. You can’t make this many bad decisions simply by accident or incompetence. This is intentional at some level.
We have a GM plant near our s and I see these morons out front 24/7 with their signs. They hang out front with a fire pit surrounded by beach chairs. Sickens me every time I drink be by….fire them all.
Bkmk
..drive by not drink by
Why not?
Our police don’t enforce the law snd still get paid.
Teachers don’t teach and still get paid.
Bureaucrats don’t serve the public and still get paid.
Healthcare professionals do plenty of harm and still get paid.
Politicians sell out their republic and still get paid.
See where I’m going with this?
It’s intentional at every level.
And not just in the US.
The reverse midas touch, anything the dems and their RINO libs touch, turns to excrement.
At my age, I am looking at my last vehicle purchase. My current 14yo car will not take me to the end, hopefully which is long in the future. My plan is to buy a ICE without a turbo or CVT trans. Looks like I may end up with a Lexus. Im sure Scottie Kilmer would be happy with that choice.
The quasi-nationalization of the automobile industry made it over on the model of subsidized British car companies that were unable to pursue their own business models, but had to shift with erratic government policies until they were hollowed out by American car companies. Now it’s the turn of government subsidized American car companies trying to meet the insane demands of Democrat administrations to be hollowed out by Chinese and Korean companies.
Ford and GM don’t exist to offer value to their shareholders, but to promote the political agendas of the Biden administration which simultaneously orders the automakers to meet the green mandates of San Fran tech elite class and the four hour work week demands of the UAW.
The automakers couldn’t even do one of these things, they certainly can’t do both.
A four hour work week? I am sure that this will go over well with our new Chinese overlords ...

Biden spoke at a UAW rally for a couple of minutes, then jetted off to meet with Wall Street funders and the EDF?
And the UAW is OK with this!?
Liars. Liars, one and all.
Ford is FUBAR.
GM should have gone bankrupt in 2008. Everyone would have been better off.
It was strong arm tactics of Obama that saved GM.
It was Christian work ethic that build America.
America invented the middle class and Democrats have been trying their best to destroy the middle class for decades. The productivity of the middle class is the economic engine that generates the wealth that feeds the Federal bureaucratic parasite.
The middle class is the major obstacle to the communist take over of the US.
Sure is easy going thru life not having to think and letting others make life decisions for you. Leaves one time for more important things, like vido games and TV shows.
Obama told us he would shut down coal and the coal miners listened to their union bosses who said, ‘Never mind, vote the D ticket!’. Sure enough, away went the coal jobs. The union bosses moved on to greener pastures and the miners stood around with their faces hanging out, having screwed themselves royally.
Now, Biden has promised to destroy the (gas) car industry and the union bosses are telling the rank and file to vote the D ticket. Guess who is getting ready for greener pastures and guess who is getting ready to screw themselves royally.
Trump gave a hell of a speech to them the other day, showing them a way through this mess, but it would be easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than it would be for a union man to not vote D, when ordered to by his owner.
This is the quintessence of fascism. Communism confiscated the means of production. Fascism as practiced in Germany said to factory owners: “You can keep your property, but we’ll tell you how to run it.” And they did, right down to the local butchers and bakers.
I live in southeastern Ohio, what was coal country. A solid blue county when I moved here in 2009, it is now deep red, and all the better for it.
Difference is, auto workers are on a manufacturers payroll, all the others are on the gubmint payroll with the exception of healthcare and they bury their mistakes.
Big Auto isn’t private sector any more than Big Med is.
And the only private sector biz left is rapidly being exterminated by Deep State.
Yep, if you were trying to destroy the autonomy of the American middle-class, you’d be doing everything they’re doing.
