A woman has filed a lawsuit against Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, claiming that she reportedly suffered an "injurious wedgie" while riding an attraction at the theme park destination's Typhoon Lagoon water park years ago.
According to the complaint obtained by PEOPLE, the lawsuit was filed on Wednesday in Orange County, Florida, by Emma and Edward McGuinness. The couple is seeking $50,000 in damages after Emma, 33, allegedly suffered injuries during the couple’s visit to the water park in October 2019.
Emma alleges that her injuries occurred on Humunga Kowabunga, a slide that is approximately 214 feet above a pool.
"The impact of The Slide and [Emma's] impact into the standing water at the bottom of The Slide caused Ms. McGuinness' clothing to be painfully forced between her legs and for water to be violently forced inside her," says the complaint. “She experienced immediate and severe pain internally and, as she stood up, blood began rushing from between her legs.”
“She was transported to a local hospital by ambulance for medical care and treatment, and eventually transported to another hospital for the repair of her gynecologic injuries by a specialist," the complaint continues.
Alan Wagner, the attorney who filed the suit, wrote in the filing that while Emma was aware there were risks that could occur while on the attraction, “The Slide carries with it specific risks about which Disney knew or, in the exercise of reasonable care, should have known.”
Wagner added, “These risks are not disclosed by Disney to its guests and were not disclosed to Ms. McGuinness.”

Killer wedgie ride!
“Injurious wedgie” sounds like something from an Austin Powers movie.
frivolous law suit. But since it’s against woke disney, I hope she wins.
“Injurious Wedgie”
Sounds like a bad lawyer band
“Could you please show the jury the nature of your injuries?”
Only $50,000.00? That’s not much.
I can imagine riding the Humunga Kowabunga could be dangerous. I have heard that riding the Longus Schlongus is even worse.
Perhaps she was too heavy to be on this ride
Yikes - if that is actually the case it does sound like a serious injury.
I must be lucky. I only broke my toe on that ride.
Just what, exactly, are the sexual practices that led her to have this problem, while no other women ever did?
It sounds atomic.
"You will get wet! You might break your toe or get an injurious wedgie!"
“Just what, exactly, are the sexual practices that led her to have this problem, while no other women ever did?”
Hmm. I believe male equines may be involved.
That might be injurious to the jury depending on whether the victim is Guilty or Not Guilty.
Juror No. 2 went home that night after examining the evidence and commented to his wife...
“You know, I was thinking today how we ought to go to the Grand Canyon this year.”
Unless she bought the offending swimwear from them how it is their fault?
