We are thinking about staying in the Greenwood Village/Tech Center of Denver overnight on a road trip. Generally, I try to avoid Communist controlled cities, but there is a reason I need to be in southeast Denver briefly.
I'd appreciate advice on avoiding the worst the city has to offer including traffic, crime and stoners.
Kansas. ;-D
There are no such areas in Denver.
I recently turned down a job as a tail gunner on a garbage truck in Denver.
I stayed in Denver when the Packers played there in 2015 and stayed at a Super 8. It’s not all that bad, just stay away from Colfax Ave, that’s the longest in the country.

There used to be apps like Sketch Factor for just such questions, but they were pulled because social justice. Can’t have pobbles knowing where the criminals tend to do their thing.
Cheyenne, WY
jk.
Any hotels on MLK, Jr. Or Malcolm X Blvd. probably should be avoided.
Denver was a dangerous place back in 1953 when we lived there. Dad had his Mauser pistol stole out of his car and when we went anywhere he made sure the doors were locked.
Phone the police and ask. Tell them you are a tourist and you want to visit their city and you want to be as safe as you can. I find police will tell you which areas cause them the most concern.
Here is a graphical representation of Denver and crime, if that helps.

But, seriously, my son goes to college in Golden and took the train to the zoo in Denver and didn’t get murdered.
Stay in Golden
Denver Tech Center is fine. You won’t have any problems.
Stay out of the city as far as possible for the best result.
Check your freepmail sir.
I stay in Greenwood Village/Tech Center area for work once or twice a year. I considered it safe.
In 73 I lived in an apqrtment building at 1200 block east colfax.
Right above Sid Kings strip club.
Lots of violence with knives...lots with guns now
I don’t know what Denver is like these days but I lived downtown, 19th and Sherman, during the late 90s. I often stumbled home drunk from the bars and was only robbed at gunpoint once.
