Aerosmith's frontman Steven Tyler is facing a more serious condition than initially believed, according to a recent report by TMZ.

The 75-year-old rock legend, who had already canceled several tour dates due to vocal cord damage, is now said to be barely able to speak.

Aerosmith was a fun band. But you are right. It’s time.

My wife keeps asking me if I want to go see these old acts. After a couple of concerts you learn that most of them can still play. They can’t sing any more.

I am happier with my memories of them, rather than making new bad memories.

I only ever saw them once, probably 1973 or 74, when they were first on a bill, ahead of Gentle Giant and Golden Earring, if this old mind remembers right. It was the first of hundreds of concerts I photographed, with my mom’s rangefinder camera, but I can’t find the negatives anymore.
