Gas jumps above $6 a gallon in Los Angeles

Yo, California, you doing okay out there?

Just checking.

The rest of us? We're doing pretty okay, but you're giving us a great preview of what it will look like when we get that Green New Deal at the federal level, with your outrageous taxes on gasoline.

Los Angeles County drivers have been experiencing more pain at the pump recently as gas prices have surged past $6 per gallon this week.

As of Tuesday, the average price for a gallon of gas in L.A. County had reached $6.03, according to AAA. Ventura County's average price sits at $6.00 per gallon and Orange County's at $6.02…

Before leaping to more than $6, the average was $5.62 late last week in the Los Angeles-Long Beach metro area.

The cause of the surge: higher global oil prices, said Auto Club senior public affairs specialist Anlleyn Venegas.

Don't forget the extra dollar per gallon in taxes (approximately). That might have something to do with it.

Maybe, Governor Newsom, you could call up President Biden, tell him to hit you up with some petroleum from the strategic reserve. I bet he'd cut a deal with you if you promise not to run for president in his place next year.

Just an idea.

Anything to bring gas prices down in the great state of California (which everyone seems to be fleeing).

They think you’ll sell your gasoline car and buy a much more expensive Oil powered EV , it’s all planned but not thought out very well

Wait for it to reach $10 a gallon. Maybe that will wake up the Masses to the horrors of a single party socialist state.

Meanwhile, in neighboring landlocked Arizona, gas is about $2.50 cheaper averaging at $3.60 a gallon.

Virtue signaling is expensive.

"Oh look at all the Climate Cult white cars in the picture"

Having lived in Southwest for over 30 years in Phoenix Arizona I can tell you that white paint is popular because it is a bit cooler when you first get in a car that is sitting in the sun.

Yep, Biden closed ANWAR and many federal lands to all leases last week. I sure miss the old days under Trump:

That’s systemic racism right there in the auto industry.

Not me. I see two white cars.

People who want to impress me with their cars don’t like people like me, who only see what color it is. I don’t see emblems, logos, or any details that they want me to see. ;)

I grew up in Florida, and one of the cars in my family had a red exterior with a black interior. That was not fun to get into.

California’s the state that just a few years ago voted to increase their gas taxes. It’s so glad I left that place.

What’s left of the middle class and those on fixed incomes in California are getting economically horse whipped.

My last fill up in the used-to-be-Golden State was on my way out for good. Paid $6.67 in Barstow. Haven’t paid more than $3.50 since arriving in Central Texas and saw regular unleaded on my way to work today for $3.23.
Low taxes + no “special blends” = $$

Last year, Biden is on camera laughing about the high prices in California. When asked he replied they are always higher in California and walked away.
