Eleven years ago, today, one of my kidneys took flight to a gentleman in San Diego in desperate need. This donation enabled others to go forward. This kidney saved a life. You might consider doing the same. Christ saved us sinners for eternal life by giving far more than a kidney!
Well done, sir.
Thank you for your example.
A kind, selfless act on your part.
My kidneys, however, have too many miles on them.
It’s not the years; it’s the miles...
Was the procedure done with General or Local Anesthesia?
How long was your recovery?
My procedure was done at UCSF hospital. It was major surgery done under general and took about 2.5 hours. I had a world renowned surgeon. I stayed in the hospital two nights. The recovery was 2-6 weeks depending on whether your job is physical or otherwise. I had no medical costs other than giving a kidney. Thanks for asking.
You had professionals do it properly. Nothing “Quik”.
I’m glad it all worked out for you.
A very selfless act of love. Good on you sir
A privilege, thanks! Galatians 6:10

I have a copy of the thank you letter sent to our family by the recipient who received his heart.
Years ago I tried to look him up to see how he is doing but the organ donation agency couldn't provide me with any information due to privacy laws.
What a gift! Yes, an annual celebration is in order for you and the one who received!!
Both my sisters gave one of their kidneys as we are a match for one of their families with an inherited disease. I give blood. Next pint will be 10 gallons!! Hard to imagine that much blood but I always pray it will bring a boost to someone’s day!
Outstanding!!!
That’s one of the “Quik!” methods.
I’m too old to donate anything.
Happy New Birth day, uscga77’s kidney!
Thank you for being a donor. It’ll be 10 years in November that my brother gave me a kidney.
Not enough people will do it.
I’m down to just one as it is.
I’ll trade my two bad kidneys and a C-note for one good kidney.
