What are the symptoms of this round of the chinese flu?

Posted on 09/03/2023 9:22:52 AM PDT by A Cyrenian

Have you been infected yet?

What was it like?

How long did it last?

Did you take anything (ivermectin) to combat it?

Can you share any information with us?

Thanks.

Zinc needs an ionophore to be effective. Quercetin is a zinc ionophore and available off the shelf.

It was reported that the pastor and most of the choir came down with covid. The next day my wife and I (both in 80’s) came down with something.
Runny nose, coughing, temp. 103, sore throat, head ache.
Took all the recommended Covid over the counter supplements. I do not remember all what they were. just the over the counter stuff (but not ivermectin) they recommend for Covid. Nothing helped. After a couple of days stopped all the over the counter recommended things and took 2 Echinacea 400mg per capsule, every 4 hours the first day. With Tylenol every 8 hrs to bring temp down and releave headache. Felt better next day so slowed down intake of Echinacea to 2 every 6 hrs and the next day 2 every 8 hours. By now i felt much better and took nothing more. Was weak and tired for two weeks but both of us recovered nicely.

Our friend first tested positive 8 days ago. 60 year old female in good health. She had night sweats but no fever. She is going back to work this Tuesday.

The first thing to do is trust God our Creator, and he will alleviate your fear.

…and give you Discernment.

That said, my son’s two friends tested positive for Covid flu, my son had a sore throat for three days. All experienced very, very minor symptoms.

As for me ( a senior) I took two doses of Ivermectin, and a strange thing happened, I had loads of energy for a week, (getting up at 0430 for work). Ivermectin does much, much more than kill the C flu.

A good nasal spray with Xylitol twice a day greatly reduces the chances of even catching Covid. Xylitol kills covid in the nasal cavity which is where it first takes hold, then replicates and causes upper respiratory infection.

I use it for my seasonal allergies also and it does a decent job.

Best part: these sprays such as Xynase and others are off the shelf and cheap.

Minor edit: Xylitol and grapseed extract sprays have been investigated by the NIH and shown to be effective in limited trials.

Something that is really effective and easy to do is use nasal/oral washes ... povidone iodine (1% solution) is the best - kills COVID on contact. Using a povidone iodine spray and gargling either with a povidone iodine solution or another mouthwash that is effective, keeps the virus from getting a toehold & getting into your uppper respiratory system and if you end up with COVID, it keeps the viral load down. You can make your own solutions or buy a nasal spray already made up.

Dr. McCullough talks about using nasal sprays in particular almost every podcast he does and says they appear to be quite effective against the new variants.

FLCCC recommends nasal washes and gargles:

https://covid19criticalcare.com/protocol/i-prevent-covid-flu-rsv/

Antiseptic antimicrobial mouthwash: gargle twice daily (do not swallow). Choose mouthwashes containing chlorhexidine, povidone-iodine, cetylpyridinium chloride (e.g., ScopeTM, ActTM, CrestTM), or the combination of eucalyptus, menthol, and thymol.

After exposure:
Naso-Oropharyngeal hygiene (Nasal Spray and Mouthwash): 2-3 times daily
The combination of nasal antiseptic sprays and oropharyngeal mouthwashes is strongly suggested. Choose a nasal spray with 1% povidone-iodine (for example Immune Mist™, CofixRX™ or Ionovo™) and a mouthwash containing chlorhexidine, povidone-iodine, cetylpyridinium chloride (e.g., Scope™, Crest™ or Act™), or the combination of eucalyptus, menthol, and thymol (Listerine™).

In Vitro Efficacy of a Povidone-Iodine Nasal Antiseptic for Rapid Inactivation of SARS-CoV-2

From link:
Conclusions and relevance: Povidone-iodine nasal antiseptic solutions at concentrations as low as 0.5% rapidly inactivate SARS-CoV-2 at contact times as short as 15 seconds. Intranasal use of PVP-I has demonstrated safety at concentrations of 1.25% and below and may play an adjunctive role in mitigating viral transmission beyond personal protective equipment.

Cetylpyridinium chloride-containing mouthwashes shown to inhibit SARS-CoV-2 in oral cavity

From link:
Study significance
The study highlights the potential of cetylpyridinium chloride-containing mouthwashes in inhibiting SARS-CoV-2 and its variants. Regular use of such low-cost mouthwashes as a good oral hygiene practice could potentially reduce the risk of viral transmission to others, as well as through the respiratory tract of an infected person.

Anti-SARS-CoV-2 effectiveness of cetylpyridinium chloride-containing mouthwashes has also been reported in other studies. In addition, human clinical trials are reporting that rinsing the oral cavity with cetylpyridinium chloride-containing mouthwash can effectively reduce the amount of SARS-CoV-2 in saliva for several hours.

I haven't taken any supplements since I contracted Covid. I get most of them anyway in my daily vitamin and I'm also one is prone to headaches if I take too much of any particular supplement, Vitamin D for instance. I was taking 4000 ui of it but when I stopped doing that, the headaches went away. So I think too much of a good thing can be just as harmful.

Then last summer I developed Long Covid and will probably suffer with it for many months to come. That was the biggest reason why I retired back in April 2023; I just don't have the strength to work anymore.

I tried taking the supplements again for about a month last summer when the Long Covid came on me, but they did no good so I threw them all out. I still have the Ivermectin I purchased along with a few other things, but I have none of the other supplements. So I would also like to find out if those supplements really do any good. I'm tempted to say no, but I'm no physician. They could have been just a big a scam as the so-called vaccines.

Ever think it was strange that there were almost zero deaths reported in the 2020-2021 season due to influenza? It wasn’t because there weren’t people dying of the flu. But if a hospital reported it as death due to influenza, they got nothing from the federal. But if they reported it as death due to Covid, they got thousands of dollars. Some say as much as $37,000.

When I was hospitalized for Covid in Feb 2022, my total medical bill was $100,000 for a 6 day stay, none of which I paid. One third was paid by BCBS and the other two thirds the government must of paid because I never got a bill.
