Thanks for the heads up.
Maybe that is why I loved watching the show too.
A fun escape from reality.
You know, I eat as much Mexican food as I do other foods combined, but I’ve never eaten a fish Taco. It doesn’t look right to me, but I know people like them a lot.
If anyone asks me how I like Sheboygan where my daughters live, I say I like it just fine except they need Mexican restaurants. When my son was there too for the wedding, he looked all over town for a breakfast burrito and was shocked there weren’t any! At least you can buy chorizo at the store there.
I like Indian food too. There was one Indian restaurant here but it closed down, so when I go to a city I always look for that. I can cook some dishes, but it’s nice to have a restaurant.
Lighten up, I’m just messing with you. 💕
Sounds good.
My last job was fun I was live in companion / chef for friend Jenny
She loved carna asada n I’d use skirt steak to make it. Marinade was fresh orange, lime and lemon juices , adding cilantro, garlic and touch of jalapeño,
Cooked MR
Her preference for eating some warmed tortillas, avocado, tomato. Side of rice/beans
What cut did your wife chose? Sounds like she did well with a tougher than desired piece.
Just at my Asian noodle bowl. Enough for tomorrow
So, the German couple that were homeschooling their children and were granted asylum here in US 15 years ago; remember them? They were contacted recently by immigration and told they were going to be deported! Can you believe it? Evil!
Yes! Appalling thought
Chihuahuas. The dogs and the cheese. From what I understand they both originated from the same geographic locale named Chihuahua in Mexico. Could be true could not be true - I never researched it.
My favorite mex restaurant dessert is flan
Yes, I can believe it.
They are the wrong color.
OMGosh....pure evil.....EVERYONE....PRAY for these people.
A TRUE case for asylum, and, this jerk is kicking them out, while allowing TENS OF THOUSANDS of MILITARY AGED MEN ILLEGALS into our country...pouring in....daily.
But then again ...if in Mexico not only the water you drink but what you may eat in Mexico could of been someone's pet!
Okay on a lighter note but true,My mother will not eat gumbo in Louisiana at all because ...are you ready for this.
Louisiana Years ago claim Nutria Rats are considered ediable and all were putting them in Gumbo at the time!
To this Day, I do not eat Gumbo in restaurants! HA!
Heck I can make my own!
.......
It was flank or skirt, we have lots of Hispanics here, mucho grande mex retaurants and carnaceria meat shops too. This is the Apple Capital of the states, Wenatchee Washington so lots of agricultural, and server farms too, cheap electricity.
I’ll bet subburban(safe)N chicago has some great mom and pop Mexican restaurants Not that far from where the kids are at. She could do some investigating on Facebook I’ll check with my culinary groups if you’d like.
I too love Indian. I make a few dishes
DVD Blu/Ray time. I watch 2-3, movies a couple times a week yesterday watched 4!!! I watch in bed. Sitting or standing longer than 10-15 min tears up my back. Sitting better & I do my cooking prep sitting. My house chores n cooking are silly to watch I’m sure. Up down…down up
Yesterday watched Juno, 10 Things I hate about You, Passenger 57, Manchurian candidate- most recent. Had a large box of Tapes and my TV n Blu ray player at friends in OK Bought some more at GoodWill
I make our own gumbo, too.
Don’t trust any restaurants :-)
Well.....Maybe Brennan’s.
Oh my Jane - gorgeous ! I havent made Guac for months. About time for a Mexican feast here! Oh wait. I have to wait until AFTER my first surgery when hopefully my digestive system behaves. I could make quac though. Fresh is wonderful and the flan. That’s gentle food
But Thankfully My StepDad has my step brother still living there in the Woodlands and his Son in Law in Louisiana can get us fresh seafood including crawfish..which not a fan of mud bugs;)
I love shrimp and Fresh Oysters when I can get them! :)
I don’t know if we have any Mexican up here, other than Taco Bell.
We have numerous Thai restaurants. Natalie does a number of very good Thai dishes as well.
I thought fish tacos sounded rather unappealing when I first heard she was making them. She uses a very mild fish, does it in a batter and fries it, then the tacos are loaded with all kinds of goodies along with the fish. I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious they were.
We do a number of curry dishes as well. There are a number of Indian restaurants around as well. My favorite restaurant is one that’s been in Hamilton for years and years....a German one called The Black Forest Inn. Delicious, authentic food at very reasonable prices. I haven’t been for years, as it involves going to downtown Hamilton. I’d have to be starving before I’d venture down there again, ever.
