I actually agree with Maria. And Jim Jordan and most others. The border is a crisis and the CR that didn’t pass because of 5 votes did at least address that. And it did cut spending somewhat.
The real problem, as Ted Cruz agrees, was when the Senate Republicans went along with the then Democrat controlled House and approved spending for the rest of the year, before Republicans took their small majority.
They may be able to approve some individual appropriations before deadline but not enough.
Shutting down the government, in reality, isn’t a bad thing. But the executive branch will do everything in their power to use it to hurt the people the most they can. I bet who won’t hurt is Ukraine and illegals. That’s the way it works.

I had to turn it off. I cannot watch that rotten witch. She, and the CNN woman, and all other liberal interviewers, do the same things. The Bidens are perfect. The Bidens never do anything wrong. If one person says something defending the Bidens, it’s gospel truth. But a thousand people can defend Trump, and they’re all lying. Her job is to make the Bidens look wonderful and Trump look terrible. Otherwise, she wouldn’t be able to face her liberal friends afterwards.
Why can’t these people just be fair? Why can’t they let him talk and let viewers make up their own minds?
And they all have the same little trick. Trump says something and they reply, “That’s been debunked. Now, the next question...” They basically call him a liar and then try to rush on to another question so that viewers are left with the impression that he’s a liar, and he has no chance to defend himself. Plus they repeatedly interrupt and talk over him.
I just can’t stand to watch those rotten B words anymore. I don’t know Trump gets through these interviews. I don’t see how they’re even helping him.
I know I can be a real nerd sometimes. The thing that got me into politics in the first place was President Reagan after the horrible economy I saw with Carter. It dawned on me we were not a real free market capitalism country or world and that government policies matter.
That’s why I love President Trump! And I have to admit I was a little apprehensive about some of his trade positions, but to my delight he proved me wrong!

Sounds like President Trump is actually doing the second debate? I hadn’t heard anything, but Laura Loomer is saying he’s going to CA for GOP debate and fundraising. I don’t think he should debate. He gets more exposure when he opts to do something else.

Just heard from her, text, storm has passed over.
She said Austin got hit pretty hard.
I don’t think Jemian has posted lately either. I don’t recall a post in several days.
The storms that hit us weakened and we only got rain and a small amount of hail, thank goodness.
The Austin area has been hit hard by high winds and very large hail. Looks pretty bad.
