I hope you haven’t named any of them....would make it really hard for this little piggy to go to market.
I wish I could raise a herd (?) of those....to make sure none have had the awful swine mNRA jabs. Hubs and I were just wishing we could find a reliable, non-JABBED bacon vendor.
How many acres do they require? Any idea? I wonder what the cows would think 🤔

Well, I was curious, so I did a quick bit of research and I found we have a sounder lol. How a “group” of boars is called a “singular” just defies logic, it’s an oxymoron, but, whatever lol. For future reference:
A group of hogs is called a passel or team. A group of swine is called a sounder. A group of boars is called a singular.
There are 5 piggies and they have lots of room. Their area is about a half acre, with a little building for shelter, lots of trees and a nice pond. I don’t think you’d need that much room though.
There’s an electric fence, because pigs are the most destructive of farm animals and would chew right through any ordinary fencing. Their barns are in constant need of maintenance and upkeep and repair. They chew at everything, and ruin everything. The sheep, on the other hand, are just so gentle and easy going. It’s been very nice for Matt to get away from the pig operation (he had over 2000 large pigs he was raising at any given time) and he’s now got about 600 ewes that he’s breeding.
These Mangalitsa pigs are supposed to be the Kobe beef of pork. I’ll let you know in about 2 months lol. I think the kids have named them, but I’m not sure lol. That stuff doesn’t bother them at all. Lol I remember they named their 3 cows that went to the butcher. Brisket, Angus and Fern. The little one, Audrey, commented, as we were enjoying a nice roast beef dinner, at how delicious Brisket had turned out lol.
I don’t think they require near as much room as these piggies have......a bit of shelter, some electric fencing, and I would say a plot about 50X50 should be good for a few pigs. The thing Natalie likes about them is that they eat EVERYTHING. All of that garbage waste, scraps, peels, old food, everything....piggies love it all. The only thing they didn’t like was cucumbers, for some odd reason lol.

I don’t like pigs. When I was a teen I went out to throw some slop. Climed the fence to get it over and one jumped up and bit me on the boob. My mom took me to the doctor and he said “Hummm!!! Must have been a suckling pig. I never went to see that doctor again.
No. My son-in-law looks almost identical to Oliver Anthony, and he wouldn’t spend one minute building a house for a cat lol. A dog, yes. A cat.....fend for yourself.
I got an email from my brother in Calgary this morning - they got about 8” of snow last night! Sounds like the lawn guy got there just in time lol.
He saw the handwriting on the wall.
