Columbus Day was originally observed on October 12.
In 1971 the Federal Government changed the date to the second Monday in October so it would create a 3 day weekend instead of being observed different week days.
So tomorrow is the day the Federal government has declared a Federal Holiday and the post office will not be open.

I say NO! It’s Much Worse!
I just read online that the known Israeli death toll now exceeds 1,100.
Let’s tput that in perspective:
Israel has a population of about 20 million.
The USA has a population of about 330 million - that is 16.5 times largr than israel’s 20 million.
If the USA sustained a similar percentage of dead we would have 18,150 dead.
There is no doubt that muslim death cult crazies already here, and others all over the world, would love to kill that many and more here in the USA.
(of course they are already here - we have some in the US Congress, don’t we?)
With democrats and the Biden administration in the muslims corner and letting them waltz across the border a muslim attempt to mount a similar attack here is not improbable.

It was not my intention to insult you, MM, and I am sorry.
Sometimes my emotions get the best of me.
I also apologize to anyone else I may have upset.
That being said, for those who remember my next door neighbor Chris and have prayed for him....
His cancer has spread to his lymph nodes on his right side
and also to his lungs.
This was discovered after a recent PET scan.
I humbly ask for your prayers for him, and maybe “turbo charge” them a bit for him.
He’s just a great guy and is only 52 years old.

No prob. Emotions run high. We all get that. 😉 I probably needed to explain my perspective in more detail.
Re your neighbor, Chris, miracles happen every day, especially through the power of prayer.
Israel’s population is only 9.4 million, so your estimate has to be doubled.
Roughly 36,000 deaths, or 12 times our 9/11/01.
Imagine how folks here would react to that.
You two ladies are a class act. If only the whole world was as gracious.
I seriously doubt anyone was offended, Ms.B. We all understand perfectly. There’s not much more endearing than a person who is humble enough to apologize. Not many around these days.
