Wow, she’s pretty hefty. If her college gig doesn’t work out maybe she could get a job as a backup dancer for Lizzo. ;-)
"Peon" is actually a Spanish word that describes a person who has almost no control over his employment.
Some things never change...
A significant percentage of the illegal immigrants currently crossing our border are in deep hock to the Cartels that allow them safe passage across Cartel territory and often transport them to their first location in the USA.
LMAO
Arabs have always been the biggest slavers, and how did this moron forget Egypt!!!
More Europeans may have been enslaved by Africans (North African Barbary Pirates) than the other way around.
European slaves: between 1 and 1.25 million

How many African slaves arrived in what is now U.S.? 388,000
At least, two of my ancestors were captured and sent to America as slaves. Their descendants were shown as Free Blacks in later censuses.
My African ancestors were from: The Ivory Coast/Ghana and Benign/Togo.
Paraphrasing Mohammed Ali: “I’m glad my ancestors got on those boats and came to America.”
For those who haven't seen The Sopranos,I won't disclose what happened. Suffice it to say, they did not part on a completely amicable basis.
Bingo.
...and a taxpayer funded institution is spreading ignorance and racism, but what else is new?
Rutgers is only trying to catch up to the ignorant and racist universities in New York City.
All of my ancestors were slaves in Egypt.
White men were the ones who ended slavery in the west. Plenty of slavery exists today, but not by whites. Methinks the professor is a moron.
A Rutgers student with a double major from Rutgers was recruited and hired to work on a contract where I was the lead developer. The developed source code was a deliverable to the customer. I had to find an extension to Visual Studio Code that could spell check the comments in the code. The smart kid from Rutgers with the great GPA left "unnessasary spelling errors" in the comments. The intentionally incorrect word was typical of the problems I encountered.
***..that non-whites somehow behaved with more tolerance and civility whenever they landed on the shores of others. ****
In the book The Defeat of John Hawkins. A Biography of His Third Slaving Voyage ... . By Unwin, Rayner, he tells what happened when Hawkins got to Africa.
Something happened deep within Africa that had whole tribes fleeing from what ever it was. They were invading lands used by other tribes near the Coast.
Hawkins made a deal with one of these Coastal kings to use his cannon to break down the walls of the invading tribe’s fortress.
When he did this, the Coastal blacks rushed in and the killing began.
Hawkins protested and got a reprieve for the others till his ships were filled with slaves, then those now defeated invaders were again killed off.....and eaten... by the coastal tribe.
***more tolerance and civility whenever they landed on the shores of others.***
Read about the Siege and capture of the Irish city of Baltimore Ireland in 1631 by moslem pirates. Almost all the population were carried off as slaves to North Africa.

“Prior to them, black and brown people have been sailing across oceans, interacting with each other for centuries without total subjugation, domination and colonialism,”...
This statement is part of the black elite’s effort to redefine slavery as an exclusive original sin of the white race, and is the basis for guilt, reparations, and special treatment today of blacks. It is of course patently false; as is the claim of innocence of blacks historically in terms of subjugation of other races.
Don’t know what black voyagers she can cite for her statement.
‘we got to take these motherf*****s out’
Sorry Prof. Your mother does not turn me on. Perhaps you should keep your mother off the streets!
Knowing the “big guy” is sure to help!
I don’t know about Midas, but he was the world’s richest man, to date.
An empire literally built on slavery.
Nigeria still sucks
I... uh... don’t think my whole body weighs as much as her left leg.
Miss Piggy should spend less time at the trough, and more on the treadmill.
We have a $30 Trillion debt. We are slaves to that. The plantation has a way of keeping you distracted, but none the less, you will be working it off. As will your children, and their children.
That is not to say it is acceptable any more then cannibalism, rape, torture, castration or a half dozen other horrors are acceptable. Just to say that it is part of the natural world.
"Nature, Mr Allnut, is what we were put here to rise above."
Sadly, sometimes we don't.
