I hear ya’! In the sixth grade, I realized there was a club with a definite president (leader). Others were satellites around her star. I was not in the club. I’ve gotten over the bullying and shunning I received.
BUT, when my class was processing out at the end of graduation, I was making a pledge to myself, “That’s over. I will never be with ‘those people’ again unless I chose to.” I’ve kept that promise.
In the intervening years, I’ve been contacted by some of them. No apologies, but real, actually friendly - in a superficial way - contact. Nonetheless, when the 50th came around, I did not attend. NOT because I haven’t forgiven what happened, but because the fun memories they have are not the memories I have. I was not going in for a repeat.

I’m sorry to hear so many weren’t treated kindly in school years. I always had a lot of friends, never was bullied but also never bullied anyone. I only got into one physical altercation in junior high, I beat up a boy that was kicking a kitten. I must admit I was NOT a favorite with teachers as I was a comedian troublemaker.

I attended the 50th, many people got over that cliquish behavior and became quite nice people, some stayed the same. I was pleasantly surprised that some ruff characters had become sincere Christians. So for me I was thankful to go. Plus I had to show off my wife a little bit, just say'n
