I went to my first one maybe 9 or 10 years ago.

Had a great time.

I stayed in the 70s era dorms.

I flew my Navion there 6 times. It was awesome. Search N4974W and you can see some pics of it there.

I just happened to have Flightradar24 up and I saw this long line of small planes in row headed for Oshkosh. So, I looked up the dates and there you have it.

Crazy that you posted this. I'm in the middle of watching the latest video from Mike Patey (of Draco fame) who lost his engine in Turbulence while flying to Airventure 2023.

Scary stuff!

Nice! We went a few times in the mid-90’s...borrowed the in-laws RV and stayed in “Camp Scholler”...great time!

Mike Patey was on his way there with Turbulence and had a catastrophic engine failure at 27,000 feet when the turboprop engine exploded and quickly shut down. Mike glided for 20. minutes to a dead stick landing about 170 miles from Oshkosh. He is safe and posted a very humble video about his ordeal. Glad Mike is safe.

It happened to work out was my wife’s best friend lives in WI so they hung out in her part of the state on the way to Oshkosh for a few days and then met me on the last day.

I walked and walked and walked seeing stuff and maybe saw half of the stuff there.

Understand the races at Reno Stead will be done this year.
Too many houses built too close.

Beautiful bird. Heard they made excellent IFR training platforms -- very stable.

Someone said that Navions needed invasion stripes painted on the wings to keep track of them when they landed, because all you'd have to do is Scandinavion. 😆
