Snow White and the Six Average Joes? Disney’s new ‘PC’ characters destroyed on Twitter

Disney seems hellbent on destroying its brand as the entertainment giant moves away from the family-friendly products that made it a trusted household name.
The latest example to support that assertion is a live-action remake of Snow White that features a Hispanic actress playing Snow White and replaces the famous seven dwarves with a diverse cast of “magical creatures,” of which only one is a dwarf. And if that’s not woke enough for you, Prince Charming gets the boot, too.
“Welcome to some of the first images from Disney’s live action remake of Snow White and her DEI Dwarfs. Snow White is played by a Hispanic actress and there’s only one dwarf and 6 full [grown] adults,” tweeted Turning Point USA’s Charlie Kirk. “Disney says it’s taking the casting of the film in a ‘new direction’ to ‘avoid reinforcing stereotypes.’ Disney has lost $900 million at the box office on recent films, and something tells me that figure is only going to worse. Snow White is set to release in March 2024.”
Snow White will be played by Rachel Zeglar, of Colombian descent — she played Maria in Steven Spielberg’s film adaptation of “West Side Story.” She said the story needed “refreshing.”
“People are making these jokes about ours being the PC Snow White… yeah, it is — because it needed that,” Zeglar said, according to the Daily Mail. “Our version is a refreshing story about a young woman who has a function beyond Someday My Prince Will Come.”
The British newspaper reported that the adaptation “will not feature a Prince Charming and will instead focus on a ‘stronger’ Snow White who dreams of becoming a leader.”
Disney announced that ‘magical creatures’ would replace the seven dwarves to ‘avoid reinforcing stereotypes’ after Game of Thrones actor Peter Dinklage, who has a common form of dwarfism called achondroplasia, is being linked to the “magical creatures” addition after he criticized the “f**king backwards story” last year.
“I was a little taken aback when they [Disney] were very proud to cast a Latina actress as Snow White, but you’re still telling the story of Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs,” he said on Mark Maron’s WTF podcast. “It makes no sense to me. You’re progressive in one way and you’re still making that f**king backwards story about seven dwarfs living in a cave together, what the f**k are you doing, man? Have I done nothing to advance the cause from my soapbox? I guess I’m not loud enough.”
Former GOP congressional candidate Robby Starbuck was not impressed, tweeting: “Meet the cast of Disney’s new woke Snow White film. Snow White is Columbian now and the 7 dwarves look more like the 6 normal sized hipster pedos and 1 dwarf from Portland. Snow White no longer has ‘skin white as snow’. Absolutely ridiculous.”

I see nothing wrong with casting a Latina as Snow White.
But those “Seven Dwarfs” look like the crew of a pirate ship.

I have loved fairy tales ALL of my life and they serve as great teaching stories for children; like Aesop's Tales!
The brother's Grimm went all over what is now Germany, collected these stories, put them in a book, so that over time, they wouldn't be lost.
back then, children lost mothers quite often and had to deal with step mothers, sometimes faced starvation,a cruel parent or parents, nasty step siblings, and much that modern children no longer have to face; however, in these stories, there are still lessons to be learned...how to overcome bad times, how to be kind to everyone, why you have to follow the rules, and much more!
The Ancient Greek tale of Eros and Psyche was later broken down into two tales...CINDERELLA and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. These tales are archetypes and as such, some, like CINDERELLA are part of world wide, different cultures' history. There are well over 500 different Cinderella type stories all over the world, which are older than colonization and world travel was available; though the Ancient Romans adopted EROS AND PSYCHE and named it CUPID AND PSYCHE.

I guess. But there’s nothing wrong with respectful recasting. For example, Pinocchio was originally Italian. That doesn’t mean anyone who plays Pinocchio must be Italian.
So you wanna make Snow White a Latina, or maybe a Chinese lady? Why not? Go for it, and let the audience decide with their dollars.
Just don’t go all weird or pervert on me. I would not defend a small child or a tranny as Snow White, for example.

Not that I have or had any intention of going to see any Disney movies, but if I had. one look at that cast and I would absolutely not see it in a million years.
Seems like Disney is hell bent on destroying itself.
