Black Fisherman Repeatedly Confronted by White People for Using Lake in Video

A Black fisherman's TikTok videos showing white people repeatedly confronting him for being at a lake in his own neighborhood have gone viral.

The man, whose handle is "fishingbay2ga," posted a video on Wednesday with a caption explaining that "privileged" people in his "nice" neighborhood don't believe he lives there.

The video, which has racked up more than 5 million views, shows a white woman approaching him and a companion near the lake.

"Are you guys residents here?" she asks, later adding that the lake is for residents only.

After the woman says she does not give him permission to film, he replies: "This is my phone. I can film and do whatever I want. I study the law."

The fisherman then speaks to the camera, saying the woman was the third person who had approached him that day.

"I'm in my own neighborhood and a white person came and bothered me while I'm fishing," he says. "This is the third time."

When the woman starts walking away, he adds: "Don't leave now. Do you want to say hey, do you live here? Where you live? What's your address?"

The man shared another video a few hours later, which has so far amassed more than half a million views, where a white man appears to return for a second time to question the man and his companion about where they live.

"When I asked you earlier, you didn't say where do you live," the man says.

The fisherman's companion replies: "I was told not to talk to strangers who don't introduce themselves."

The man then tells them he is on the homeowner association board. "We pay for the lake," he adds. "It's a private lake so if you live in the neighborhood."

Why can’t the article be true? I've written in the past about the extreme left, with specific regard to THEM (not us) being the "white racists".

The far left progressives are actually lily white. Nearly seven-in-ten Progressive Left (68%) are White adults, making this group less racially and ethnically diverse than the other Democratic-oriented groups.

Yet, these Dems hold not only extremist views on race, but views more extreme than those held by more racially-diverse Dem groups.

They live in enclaves in cities, prefer going to museums over going to the range, and think religion is sophistry. Their policies and language all reek of a Superiority Complex.

this guy is a racist and proving his point by antagonizing karens, Black has nothing to do with it. we've lived here 6 years and had a woman at the hoa pool look at my wife and snarl " who are you?!".

My example used to be people at work, all Dem voting all the time, gathering quietly together to say “Why does Martin Luther King get a day?” and I’ve heard them advise out of towners which neighborhoods have black majority residents so stay away for your safety. Then back to voting “progressive.”

Must be some Martha’s Vineyard wannabes. I used to live in a similar neighborhood and was so very happy to buy some land out in the country to escape those assholes.

Maybe they just haven’t seen him before. I only know the neighbors who live in the next two houses. I’ve had plenty of strangers thinking that it was okay to walk across a little dam that separates a pond from the lake, but that’s our property and the no trespassing sign was there for all to see. I have found out that some are visiting the neighborhood, so there’s no way I would recognize them.

As to him taking their pictures and then using them to insinuate that they’re racists, invasion of privacy/false light may be in play.

It’s one thing to take pictures in case you’re worried about being threatened or assaulted, but if that doesn’t occur, the pictures shouldn’t be published anywhere with any type of accusation that smears those in the photos.
