A Florida woman who shot a mom of four dead through her locked front door was once branded a “psycho” by a responding deputy after repeatedly calling cops to complain about the victim’s noisy kids.
Newly released body-cam footage shows the numerous instances that Susan Lorincz, 58, had called the police on 25-year-old Ajike Owen over local children playing near her rental apartment in Ocala
Lorincz faces a manslaughter rap for fatally blasting Owens June after the spiraling feud over the noise. Critics have argued that the crime is deserving of a murder rap, asserting that Owens was unarmed.
“When they come on the side here I just can’t hear my clients,” the insurance broker tells responding deputies after calling 911 in February. “That’s not fair to me.”
Lorincz then accused Owens of throwing a “No Trespassing” sign at her after she yelled at a group of kids to leave the area.

When seconds count, the cops are only multiple 911 calls and hours away.
When kids aren’t noisy they are ill.

I moved to FL from the NE; I brought my belongings, my pets and myself. I did not bring my ‘state’ with me. I was moving to FL to be a Floridian, not to be an ‘x’ resident of another state. There are tons of ‘x’ residents who bring their home state with them and expect everyone around them to conform, I have such in a neighbor. We’re always ‘too’ something or other for them and they complain all the time to the point we put up a privacy fence. And it’s not just us, they’ve made complete enemies of the entire small neighborhood. This NJ lady sounds quite similar in that respect and to take it as far as she did, she deserves 30+ years. I feel for the poor kids.
There was probably a step or two between a 911 call about noisy kids and homicide.
I have no idea which one was the initial aggressor in this instance. Were the children just normal children and the shooter was the typical “Karen” we have seen so many videos of lately telling kids such things as “you can’t chalk-draw on the sidewalk!”? That is what it sounds like.

Given her apparently history of calling the police just for regular child noises as they played, I’m beginning to think she was the aggressor who escalated the problems between the families. It appears now the mother became fed up and went to the witches home to tell her to stop her actions toward the children, and the witch just shot the mother because she thought SHE should be the rule-maker in the neighborhood and everyone had to bend to HER rules.
My opinion is subject to change when additional information is available. However, a hard and fast rule should be do not shoot through a closed door unless there is an assailant knocking it down while expressing an intent to kill you.
This is fake news. It was a good shooting.
After many 911 calls, the family of juvenile delinquents were still harassing the homeowner on her property. The mother of the boys was at the front door attempting entry.
The homeowner is not obligated to wait until the family of at least 5 militants gains entry and demonstrates whether they are unarmed.
Also, these are not next door neighbors accidentally crossing a property line, they had to cross a street to get onto the homeowner’s property.
This was self defense. A vigilante does not call 911 over and over.
Another rule is to install a steel reinforced door.
That's the impression I get, too. Some people are assuming the kids must've been terrorizing this woman. But, I don't get the impression that the kids in this case are bad. This sounds like a case of a neighbor who didn't like children and yelled at them for just being kids.
She's a renter, just like everyone else on the complex.
Though I reserve final judgement until all facts are on the table (and they definitely are not in this case — the story has evolved since last I saw it), I’m astounded that most FR commentors take the side of the “family”.
The Ben Crump/media machine is evidently winning the narrative battle, not least because no one is pushing back.
The police have an interest in blaming the shooter, because their failure to resolve the noise/trespassing* problem was a factor, whoever was at fault for the final incident. And the police know that no hordes of older white women from Jersey will be rioting over this, yet Ben Crump can easily field protesters and anti-cop mobs. *The field constituted an “attractive nuisance”; New Jersey woman should have contacted the property owner to secure their site and post it.
The fingerpost pointing to the aggressor: The shooter remained inside her own home. The shooter made no attempt to seek out the shootee. The shootee went a considerable distance to get to the shooter’s door.
Can someone post pictures of the people involved? Probably would make things easy to figure out.
