Until thieves steal the cables for copper...................
“With a store or club located within 10 miles of approximately 90% of Americans...

When I lived in San Antonio, I had 4-5 Walmarts within 10 miles.
Now I’ve moved to the Hill Country. The nearest Walmart is 40 miles away.
Oh well. Amazon delivers.
The idea that we can switch out our transportation energy from petroleum to electricity overnight (a decade or two) is insanity. Where are the nuclear plants? Where are the transmission and distribution system upgrades? This stuff gets built over many, many years.
This is rah rah marketing, nothing more. It solves no real problems people were clamoring to have solved.
Welp ... You’re not wrong.
It’s a good move, in just wonder about the capacity and wait time.
Oh Great. It is always so hard to find a place to park at Walmart except far off in the corners. But there are always 20 empty handicap spots. They probably have some spots for people who order online. Now they will tie up a bunch of spots with these chargers that no one will use. There won’t be any place for normal customers to park. I wonder if I could get away with parking my ICE car in one of those spots. Maybe I could put a fake charging plug on it.
No biggie to me. I don’t own and will not own an EV.
It’s a smart move, to (try to) attract more upscale shoppers.
I’ll make the wild guess right now that they’ll spend more time shopping at Sam’s and more time charging at Walmart if just on a trip.
This is a great move on their part. This is a huge, untapped market for WalMart... as, generally, the people that can afford to buy an electric car can afford not to shop at WalMart.
They won’t last long.................
A cable copper caper?
Crooks cut the copper cables cleanly....................
One local Walmart tore up the parking lot and put in EV chargers. No one used them. They tore them out about 3 years later.
Sure. When county or state governments decide to force the conversion issue by not renewing or issuing new gas station permits, these boys will be right there to offer a plausible excuse that an alternative source of fuel is available.
Not at all. This is just another step by Walmart to promote a another dependency on China. To hell with Walmart and ever large woke business in America.

They may but their chances of getting caught are huge because every square inch of W-M property, including the parking lot, is under 24/7/365 surveillance by cameras
So it’ll be handicapped closest to the door, then EV charging spots which can only be used by EV cars, and then everyone else.....
I live in Palm Desert and there are a PLETHORA of charging stations EVERYWHERE!! The population in the desert area doesn’t require the amount of charging stations out here, I recently moved here from the beach are EXTREMELY populated AND traffic everywhere YET never saw a charging station ANYWHERE!!!
That’s true.
That’s why the thieves oho continuously stole Sam’s Free Air Hoses over and over again until the stores took the compressors away never got caught.............
