Pick your grift... which of these holidays is the most wholly fabricated (hurry and vote before George Floyd's birthday is added to the ballot)?
At least Juneteenth has a connection, however tenuous, to an historical event, however minor. Kwanzaa just comes out of thin air.
Let’s give the Feddies more days off. That way, they can’t do as much harm.
If I offend someone, I don't care, but if they had named "Juneteenth" something that sounded a little bit more intelligent, then it would be wholly known as a real holiday. Then this comparison to "Kwanzaa" wouldn't have to be made.
Name me another holiday that has a low-IQ sound to it. New Years Day, Presidents day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Christmas, Thanksgiving, and then you have "Juneteenth". That is embarrasing.
Huh? Both fictional.
‘Come out, ye Black and Trans!’
damn, now that’s something I wish I’d said...
Kwanzaa is a made up holiday created by a convicted murderer and socialist professor by the name of Ron Karenga.
He was also an FBI informant.
HISTORY: Not all slaves were freed by the Emancipation Proclamation, nor via Juneteenth. Only the slaves of the REBEL states were freed then. Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation was a wartime effort to split and weaken the South; he did NOT free any slaves in the Northern states. Slaves in the non-rebelling border states had to wait for the 13th Amendment, effective December 18, 1865.
Juneteenth is based on something that actually occurred.
Kwanza - no.
“Same here. If Juneteenth ever morphs into a belligerent demand for reparations, though, I’ll have a problem with it.”
Yup.
