A woman, 21, who survived a 'Dukes of Hazard-style' horror crash in a now-viral video said she was left severely injured and makes it difficult to sleep.
Tanaijsha Bruton soared 120 feet in the air - struck another vehicle and tumbled end over end before coming to rest upside down during the May 24 Georgia highway wreck.
Video from the incident quickly went viral and drew comparisons to various TV and movie car chase scenes.
Bruton told WALB-TV she couldn't remember everything from the incident, but was shown the ordeal on social media. She said she remembered the pain she felt afterward.
'It hurts really, really bad. I felt everything,' she said.
A Lowndes County sheriff's deputy was responding to an earlier wreck on the day when his body camera recorded Bruton's sedan flying into the air after driving up the ramp of a tow truck.
The astonishing footage showed the moment Bruton's car flipped after hitting the ramp of the tow truck at full speed.
At the time, a Georgia State Patrol confirmed that a 21-year-old Tallahassee woman was severely injured in the airborne crash on Highway 84, but miraculously managed to survive. Bruton was , who was transported to the South Georgia Medical Center after the crash near Valdosta, Georgia.
The deputy rushed to help Bruton who was transported to South Georgia Medical Center after the crash near Valdosta, Georgia.
In the video, the deputy was seen walking along the stopped highway on the other side while attending to a separate crash.
The camera turned as he faced the other side of the road with the red tow truck in view.

Or a sleep... hard to keep your eyes open with 4lb eye lashes.
Tow truck may have had rear-facing flashers on - those would be the ones that she would/should have seen. But we can’t see the rear of the tow truck because the video is from the front/side.
You have to admit that was a damn good show.
Looks like there's about 18" of pavement for a "shoulder" on that particular road, so not a lot of parking choices for the truck. The police bodycam shows she was on a straightaway with very light traffic and she managed to hit a giant parked truck at full speed. Negotiating road hazards is part of driving. Sure, she's going to get paid, but morons like her kill people every single day.
So...a driver, operating their own motor vehicle, is not responsible for their own personal actions while operating their vehicle.
Yeah, got it.
My son had something similar. He’s a trucker. His pickup was at a truck stop for the week. A drunk missed a turn and launched off an embankment, flew about 50’ into the parking lot, bounced twice and then right into my kid’s truck.
Amazingly the drunk tried to drive off adding hit and run to his charges.
Security cam caught all the fun.
“what was she doing?”
Her cell phone data might be a good place to start to solve this mystery.
Yeah, how fast was she going? For some reason the article leaves out that pertinent bit of info.
A creative physics teacher could use this scenario to spice up teaching ballistic trajectories.
She’s lucky the car rolled clockwise as it flew so that the passenger side made first contact with the ground (actually another car). That’s probably a big part of why she survived.
“The moron was the truck that parked in the middle of the road.”
Wasn’t ALL traffic on the road “parked” (stopped) due to a traffic accident up ahead? What was the truck supposed to do - continue driving when the traffic ahead of him was stopped?
“I’m learning to fly but I ain’t got wings
Coming down is the hardest thing”
its black, the road is black, there already an accident that would distract anyone, obviously a tow-bed down in the fast lane was not her fault, even the tow lights would e blocked with bed down , no emergency vehicle behind tow truck. not her fault!
She needs stiff jail time as an example to the remaining cell phone gazers/makeup artists.
Confirmed idiot. Shouldn’t be on the road anytime, anywhere.
I am sorry she was hurt but she has a duty to keep her eyes on the road.
Won’t take that bet.
It’s easy to subpeona her phone records and determine whether she was on the phone.
Georgia was my second home growing up. The back roads are scary to drive, especially when raining and in the dark. I marvel that I’m still alive after the many times I drove from Albany to Panama City Beach, often at nighttime.
She’s lucky she didn’t have a kid with her
Lol, good, catch! I was driv8ng once and stopped to take a photo of a tractor in a field, and snapped a few. Later, when viewing gmthem on the computer, a black object was seen in the sky in one photo but not the next. Not sure what it was, probably just a black plastic garbage bag (it had a wierd shape to it) floating through the air at just the right moment, but it was wierd. I told everyone it was aliens- but shoulda added “a.iens from the planet hefty”
