And that’s exactly what appears to have happened at Edison High School in Huntington Beach, California (at least according to conservative activist Robby Starbuck), according to a viral video posted on social media.
The video in question shows a class full of kids audibly groaning when the LGBT rainbow flag is shown on the projector in front of the class.
You can watch the entire clip below:
-snip
“Why you showing this to kids?” one student asked as an image of two women being intimate was shown on the screen.
A thoughtful teacher may have tried to have a deeper conversation about why her students were reacting the way they did.
Instead, this particular teacher just went straight for the threats.
“OK, I’ll warn you guys now, if you’re going to get inappropriate, I will have supervision down and give all of you Saturday school for next year,” the teacher is heard saying.
She added: “So knock it off.”
That last line appeared to get a begrudging bit of agreement from the students, but it’s pretty easy to see why this video so rapidly went viral.
A teacher, ostensibly a caretaker of America’s future generations, just threatened tangible punishment to students because they did not want to be subjected to LGBT propaganda in class.
Now, to be clear, it’s highly unlikely the students wanted to learn in class this late in the school year, but that shouldn’t take away from the fact that they, justifiably, also don’t want to be indoctrinated in class.

The tide may be turning.
Students have always rebelled against authority . in the past that was mainly the right - today the authoritarians are the left and the regressives.
“We don’t need no education, We don’t need no thought control”
Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick in the wall” will be popular again.
Thankfully, where I taught, we have very conservative parents who were very active with the school. While some of my colleagues tried, the student body (and a small cabal of right wing teachers) kept the crap at bay.
Still, I’ve left teaching because of other reasons. Ugh.
They were being sexually harassed, they were right to be upset.
Like all abusers she had to threaten them to get them to comply.
Wonder why so little respect for teachers? Good example here.
We homeschooled our daughter for the most part until High School Where She Went for 3 years. Now our deal with her all along was that if she always told us the truth we would back her up 100% regardless of whatever the situation was. She did and we did.
The parental duty of dealing with everything related to the school system including administrators and teachers was my domain. And I can assure you I had a lot of dealings with those people in 3 years.
So not only did I hear it from my daughter, but her friends trusted us implicitly and they told us things.
She graduated in 2000 and even then the crap I had to hear about and deal with was over the top. It was actually impressive how glibly administrators could lie when they didn’t want to deal with the truth. Sometimes it was almost pathological. I can only extrapolate as to how far down the rabbit hole it’s gone now.
[What’s the teacher’s name?]
Good question - I didn’t see it right off with a quick scan at the article but maybe it’s out there somewhere.
An alert FReeper found the info.
Thanks!
Very bizarre for the teacher to do this - an activist, rather obviously
Can she even do that tho? Assign mandatory Saturday school for an entire yr because kids make fun of a controversial and inappropriate video?
Just. Don’t. Look. At. The. Picture.
You have been warned!! :)
Fay Gott.
Bingo. LGBLT propaganda is boring. Repetitive. Heavy handed. I like the student who said, “Why are you showing this to kids?” Accusing education staff of grooming is an effective tactic. I think that’s what set her off.
IF supposed to be teaching math most definitely should be fired….for cause
I kept scrolling to find the picture, I was convinced that they had already pulled it.. lol
(BTW, is that an Adam’s apple?!)
I don’t know. And I definitely don’t want to get close enough to find out.
It may bite.
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
It is child abuse to send your kids to public school.
