Bud Light's popularity continues to plummet as both corporate and personal events pivot away from featuring the Anheuser-Busch brand at their gatherings, according to the owner of a pop-up bar business.
Catarina Tucker, the founder of Barnastics - a mobile bartending company based in New Jersey- told Fox News there has been a 'significant shift' away from Bud Light among her clients recently.
In April, the Anheuser-Busch-owned brand became embroiled in controversy over a promotion it did with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.
The company has since lost billions of dollars in market capitalization, and continues to be boycotted by tens of millions of former consumers.
This month, Modelo Especial dethroned Bud Light as the top American beer, as its sales have increased more than 15 percent from the same time a year ago.
The brand has been forced to buy back expired beer from wholesalers, and is contemplating how to deal with the people at every juncture of the sales lifecycle who are experiencing a loss of profits.
Though Tucker said the liquor stores she works with have yet to begin selling Bud Light at a discount, the consumer backlash has been tangible.
'[Demand for Bud Light] has plummeted completely. No one wants it at their event anymore,' she said.
'There are a couple clients that have expressed to me their feelings behind it, and it’s no longer popular.'
She said her customers, and consumers generally, are becoming more aware of whether the brands they support align with their personal and political values.
As a result, people are 'actively seeking alternatives to Bud Light, gravitating towards craft beers, specialty cocktails, and premium spirits.'
Tucker said she does not believe the brand will rebound in popularity any time soon.

I wonder what the sales figures are at Garth Brooks bar?
The local rodeo had regular Budweiser, or Coors light, in addition to several non-beer alternatives.
Until this year it was an AB/Inbev selection.
To be sincerely honest, Bud Light is not a very good replacement for beer.
In fact, as I finish this post, Bud light is not a beer!
Sorry Bud, you screwed the pooch and, can no longer, peddle your swill as “BEER!”
They are boycotting um to for not taking a stand and backing down.
I walked past the beer cooler at a local Walmart grocery. The bud light was carefully placed behind a support column. Looked like you’d have to move several cases of a different beer from either side to get to the Bud Light and get out a box. Can’t believe that that was an accident. The hot Bud Lights were accessable, however. The same store has really shrunk the Pepsi shelf space - a lot smaller than Dr Pepper brands and a fraction of Woke Coke, so there is that.
They’re still desperate. I saw a commercial for Bud Lite with music by Zac Brown. Adios Zac.
But if InBev owns/controls the breweries does distribution matter?
I just know what they did to Wicked Weed. It’s utter #%@# now.
Event planners really want to use Bud Light because it’s dirt cheap and they can make huge profits at the present time.

Now that’s good beer!
Yeungling is Americas beer. Conservative, family owed business .
Run by Dick Yeungling’s 5 daughters. They need to start shipping to the west ,so everyone can enjoy it.
Why haven’t the Alphabet Mafia and all of its supporters stepped up to the plate and made up for the lack of sales?
Oh, they were pissed that ABINBEV ‘backed away’ from Dylan and his delusions, so they’re boycotting it too!
As a retirement job I work in retail wine and spirit sales. While I haven’t noticed much of a decline in Bud Lite sales, in our market Bud Lite was never a big seller. Our number one selling beer is Michelob Golden Lite, a AB product inexplicably sold only in the Minnesota market. What I have noticed is increased sales of Modelo and shortages of Coors and Miller products. Clearly there has been a major shift in market trends that is filtering down to even small retail markets.
What I find amazing is that all this backlash was triggered solely by showing Dylan Mulvaney fawning over a Bud Lite can with “his” picture that appeared only on social media. No cans with “his” picture were ever distributed nor were there any ads featuring “him” ever shown on traditional media. Despite what I consider a very limited one off media campaign, the negative effects on Bud Lite have knocked it off being the number one selling beer in the country and triggering a boycott that shows no signs of petering out three months after the launch of this ridiculous social media ad.
One has to consider that the persona of Dylan Mulvaney was considered repugnant to the market. What I personally find particularly cringe worthy is that Mulvaney portrays himself not as a mature young woman, but as a pubescent girl adopting often silly girlish mannerisms. I could imagine Mulvaney having a considerable following among pedophiles.
No. They were required to sell the brewery in Mexico that produces Modelo and Corona for the US market. So InBev does not recognize and profit or sales from
Modelo or Corona in the US.
We were at a function on Saturday for construction industry people, so very blue collar - everyone from the workers, to the foremen, to management - barbecue catered, lots of alcohol, and not a Bud product in sight.
In the past, Bud Light was King, now it’s for Men pretending to be queens.
Bud Light is now “pedo beer” in the mind of the drinking public.
You mean Garth didn’t shame them all back to drinking it? LOL
"Queer beer"
Why the fudge were you drinking Bud Light to begin with? It’s to beer what transsexuals are to women - a poor facsimile.
