My Father fell down his deck stairs this morning and has at least one pelvic fracture, and has been taken to Washington Hospital for surgery. Mom is trying to be independent of those who are close enough to help, but this is wearing on her more than she will let on. They have been married for 69 years. I am waiting for further details and won't know more until later tonight or tomorrow.

Be with his mother, who is reluctant to accept help from her family. Bring into her remembrance this Promise, “Honor your father and your mother...” and may she allow them to honor her by caring for her.

Bless Smokin’ Joe for his love and concern for his parents’ well-being.

If your parents have a spare bedroom and maybe a bath, you might want to consider a home health aide moving in to help.

These aides have been a grace of God for siblings, cousins and just good friends in your situation in these past/post Covid years.

One of our siblings has basically destroyed her health and life caring for her spouse with Parkinson’s and minor alzheimer’s in the past 3 years.
