The dream of productive cold fusion is constantly being promoted.
Tell me when a cold fusion plant is up and running. Until then, I don’t want to hear a word about breakthroughs or potential. Let me know when it is in commercial use.
I don’t believe it will be in my lifetime of maybe 20 years left.

Fusion makes no sense on at least three levels.
1. There is no fuel available.
2. Fission is safe and uranium abundant.
3. It will be extremely expensive.

Great idea if it will work, but needs to be perfected. This is why any energy plan needs to include a structured transition with way points to confirm on target. The current plan of shut down existing energy with no replacement is crazy.
