Good morning! Just checking in from Wisconsin. The weather here is great! There’s smoke from Canada fires but not too terrible and it’s clearing up.
I thought I was tired from the trip when I arrived but turns out I was sick, first time I’ve been sick with fever and all in a long time, so I’ve been sleeping a LOT. I just woke and feel like I’m going to be ok today.
My daughter’s house is big and beautiful, and her huge back yard is my favorite. Five raised vegetable gardens, coup for the hens and ducks, trees and swings. I want to send for my cat and stay here till Texas cools off! They have 4 cats but the house is so big they wouldn’t even know Proby was here.
The grands are all good, two young ones have grown so much!
I’ve skimmed over the thread a little and looked a little at news, but have been too sick to even do that, but will check here for the news that matters. Hope all are OK.

Our weather here was smokey this afternoon. Visibility was affected. I blame the Canadian wildfires for this, too. Might as well.

Good to hear you’re feeling better and everything is going well! Have a great time.....you’re in the same weather area as me, and it has been very pleasant. Slight smell of smoke from Quebec, but, in all honesty, I don’t mind it. It’s like the lovely smell when someone close by starts a campfire. It is clearing, as well. Either the campfire scent is dissipating, or I’m just getting used to it.
