Jill McVicar Nelson, Chief Marketing Officer, Dunkin' said, "Friends don't let friends miss out on free donuts."

Don’t get in line in front of Christie...
"I'm there!"
Waiting for them to announce how woke they are!
Go into Dunkin dressed as a pirate on Talk Like a Pirate Day, and you get a dozen. Arrrr.
LOL, Chris Christie goes to Krispy Kreme, LOL.
Thank goodness. I thought the title was gonna say "...Free Doughnuts On National Trans Day".
(My grandmother made donuts once a year on 'Fat Tuesday'.)
.
"This is a traditional German recipe, usually made on
Shrove Tuesday to use up the lard before Lent begins.
Don't worry, you can fry them in vegetable oil instead of lard!
Either way, they're delicious!"

I would bet you a Baker’s Dozen crumbly brown sugar Donuts that in 5 years orvless, “Dunkin” will put the word “Donuts” back onto it’s logo.
There is no dunkin’ without donuts.
That was somebody’s bright idea that is probably not driving sales up.
Maybe they wanted to repeat the success of KFC, which, of course used to be kniwn only by the name Kentucky Fried Chicken.
::Burn off the extra calories by making the effort to make your own donuts!::
~~~~~~~~~
False, sorry. Calorie “burning” does not work like that.
But lucky you that your grandmother made them for you.
Those look delicious!
Kristy Cream loves it!
I grew up in Pennsylvania Dutch country. On shrove Tuesday they had what was called Fasnach (sp). The Fasnach was the first person up in the morning and got the first doughnut!
But why would you? :)
I will walk to my local bakery on that day for a nice Maple glazed. I walk because otherwise donuts make my clothes shrink.
(Or WERE - adult onset diabetes is a terrible thing...)
Yes, yes - I can make the sugar free / low carb / low glycemic index versions -
but they are not the same...
Substitutions are never the same.
I make fries for us adults out of daikon radish to cut the carbs and they are ok but by no means as tasty as those made out of potatoes.
NOT Splenda/Sucralose
NOT Nutrasweet/Aspartame
NOT Xylitol/Erythritol
NOT Monk Fruit or Stevia extract
NOT Saccharine
NOT Advantame
NOT Acesulfame potassium
NOT Malitol/Maltitol
NOT Sorbitol
NOT Dextrose/Maltodextrin
NOT Truvia
NOT Neotame
Etc...
Sugar is what TASTES like sugar.
(It's also what's usually for dessert.)
PS: I make french fries out of sweet potatoes.
(They don't taste like fries made from white potatoes - they taste BETTER actually - in my opinion.)
Sugar Cane -
I am very sensitive to sugar alcohols and so I have to avoid them. So if I have something sweet it is sugar or honey.
I tried monkfruit extract with no sugar alcohols in it and if I finish off with a bit of sugar it is ok. But only just ok. Certainly not delicious.
