The cowboys ride away! George Strait concert goers IGNORE Bud Light tent as Dylan Mulvaney debacle rumbles on - and parent company Anheuser-Busch sees $19b wiped off its market value

Bud Light has been hit with another blow after fans at a George Strait concert were caught on camera deliberately avoiding the beer – and plumping for other options.

The brand, owned by Anheuser-Busch, teamed up with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney for an advert during March Madness.

But the decision backfired, causing the Belgian brewing giant to tank $19billion from its market value since the advertisement on April 1.

Footage posted on Twitter showed dozens of cans of Bud Light and other Anheuser-Busch products remaining on the shelves in Columbus, Ohio, while fans of the ‘King of Country’ bought other beverages.

Both Budweiser and Michelob Ultra were also left on the shelves of the fridges, though it was unclear if the boycott of all Anheuser-Busch products was intentional or not.

One man grabbed a blue can, but it was unclear if it was Bud Light or not, while others continued to drink Ultra’s – with one person saying: ‘But they’re drinking Michelob ultra? They’re still giving money to Anheuser-Busch, but they think they’re doing something to the makers of Bud Light?’

Many were quick to praise the supposed ban on the light beer, saying: We've been to a AAA baseball game and an MLB game this season. The grab and go stands full of Anheuser-Busch products didn't get touched.

‘The ballparks have mostly Bud products available and beer sales are way down.’

It comes after Anheuser-Busch lost nearly $19 billion since the partnership with Mulvaney, 26, as nationwide boycotts of the beer began, and sales tanked.

Since April 1, the company has consistently been dropping down the rankings, with experts saying it 'just keeps getting a little worse each week'.

But their competitors have added $3.2billion in market value to their brands in the same time.

Someone help me; how does a company lose this kind of money and never address the reason?

For InBev AB, this is a drop in the bucket.

Who wants to chance their friends seeing them buying or drinking a Bud Light?

If I had a hundred-billion and lost nineteen-billion in two months, I’d be worried.

In-Bev may be that big but it is possible that they will dump AB as a subsidiary if they lose enough money. Then AB can join Schlitz in the former big breweries hall of fame

“while fans of the ‘King of Country’ bought other beverages”

Except the way concert concessions work, probably all those other beverages were also owned by InBev. It’s not like Anheuser Busch paid all that money to get the concession and then started selling someone else’s product with it.

Share holder money. For now, they don’t care. The balance sheet still looks good. Bonuses will still be paid. Why worry?

So if worse comes to worst, the company goes bankrupt and the shareholders lose their investment. The executives, however, will still get their golden parachute and move on to wreck another company.

If the executives, however, were to go back on wokeness, they might face repercussions from Fedzilla, not to mention being banned from the cocktail party circuit.

The list of beers under the Anheuser-Busch umbrella is massive. I just learned today that the Spaten beers (brewed in Munich, Germany) are owned by A-B.

I drink that beer and never would have guessed it if I had not seen the article.

So I'm thinking many people "boycotting" Bud Light are unwittingly selecting another A-B beer as an alternative, so that might explain why A-B is not that worried.

I would think a person with your handle would be drinking beverages from the Boston Beer Company. Maybe a Samuel Adams Lager. Or a Sam Summer Ale.

It may be a drop in the bucket for InBev, but NOT buying Bud Light makes a statement. The visual of a glut of the stuff while people are enjoying other beers will be telling. Normal America doesn’t want to embrace trans culture. Period.

I used to drink those Sam Adams beers frequently, especially at the time I selected my Freeper handle. For some reason, I grew tired of them, find them too heavy. Though in a bar or restaurant, I'll usually get the seasonal one on tap.

I find Pilsner Urquell much more refreshing as an everyday drink when I'm in the mood for beer. The Yuengling I buy mostly to have on hand for company and also because I want to support the company (that were supportive of the 2016 Trump campaign).
