North Face risks Bud Light-style boycott over 'summer of Pride' ad featuring drag queen 'Pattie Gonia' telling customers to 'come out... in nature' - as consumers ask 'what's this got to do with the outdoors?'

After Bud Light and Target, The North Face has become the latest American brand to face a boycott for promoting Pride.

The company's Summer of Pride ad was released yesterday on its Instagram page and has already drawn ire from conservative consumers.

The commercial features drag queen 'Pattie Gonia' telling consumers to 'come out... in nature with us!' and declaring themselves a 'real life homosexual!'

'Hi it's me Patti Gonia - a real life homosexual. Today I'm here with the North Face and we are here to invite you to come out... in nature with us!' Pattie - who lists pronouns as 'she', 'he' and 'they', online says.

'Nature lets you be who you are, so, for the second year in a row, The North Face is hosting Summer of Pride together with (they/she) to celebrate you and all the beautiful ways you get outside.'

The brand ran a similar ad last year where Pattie Gonia said: 'Nature lets you be who you are... even gay!

'Ladies and Gentlemens, you are cordially invited to the summer of Pride with my friends at North Face. We're traveling all the gay across America.

'Put on your boots and come out... side with us! See you there besties!'

Less explicit than Target's 'tuck-friendly swim bottoms', North Face's 2023 'Outside Together' collection features rainbow-colored t-shirts and hoodies for teens and adults, and a range of blankets and camping gear.

On Instagram, North Face said it was standing behind the campaign.

WTF is going on with these stores and beer brands? Why do these companies think this tranny sh*t will help their bottom line? Is it all about the ESG score??

This stuff was planned out months ago, most adds are. Notice these were due to hit before June which is “pride month”.

With that said however there was time to pull them after seeing what happened to Bud Light and they didn’t. Now their stock is tanking as well.

Yes, I understand the stupid pride month thing. Why does everyone get a "month" except white Christian heterosexuals?

Anyway... there seems to be an *enormous* amount of piling on the LGBTQWERTY / tranny / drag queen crap this year compared to prior years. I'm stunned that CEOs of these companies think they are appealing to the vast majority of its customers with this garbage.

Yes. June will be an interesting month to see who buys into this crap and who doesn’t.

Pretty much. This sort of thing is absolutely top-down, not bottom-up, unless we're willing to believe there are a whole horde of cross-dressing hikers out there waiting to be "included".

Such a terrible thing for management to allow to happen to a company that made
quality stuff.

I bought an expensive fleece lined North Face windbreaker about 3 decades ago
and it has served wadded up softball sized in a gear bag pocket through about
a quarter of a million miles with me on various motorcycles through the years.

It’s still my very best windbreaker, looking and functioning like it was still new,
with some kind of textile zipper that has never jammed or failed.

I hope and pray these companies end up with MOUNTAINS of unsold "pride" merchandise, like what is happening with Bud Light. We'll probably never know, though. These companies may not let that info get out.

"ESG Score"... how the hell did our country end up like this??

This was a calculated move that had already factored in the reactions over this campaign.

Their reasoning to go with this campaign is likely their customer base is already mostly libtards, so this will not significantly affect their bottom line.

Old sport championship t-shirts used to get sent to poor people if the wrong team was on the shirt. I remember seeing a lot of Buffalo Bill SuperBowl Champs shirts (back when they lost 4 SuperBowls) on kids in Africa. Not sure where the manufacturers dump their stuff now.

There is no need for nature to “let us be who we are.” We already are who we are, and that cannot be changed.”

Most of us men didn’t pay any mind to the gays. They’re adults and I can live my life quite contently without them. And we were always fine with “what happens in the bedroom stays in the bedroom”.

I became annoyed, and disgusted, when they shoved it our face, demanded we pretend its normal and that I “have to” accept it, or else. I became bellicose when they started grooming our kids. Fight them as much as you would fight the local drug dealer trying to recruit your child with shiny new sneakers. The child is weak, impressionable, trusting, and doesn’t know better. It’s the adults’ duty to protect them.

Columbia CEO bragged to Cramer (CNBC “Mad Money”) on beating the Trump import tariffs by knowing how to beat the rules, for instance by coating clothing with that according to the rules make them “American made” (that wash off the first time it is washed). He said every product proposed for Columbia had to have a plan to be produced overseas. ( You thought Columbia mean the New World, you know Columbus?)

Patagonia refused to let any company participate in their program to add the customer company logo to Patagonia jackets to make customer company SWAG (awards, etc) if the customer company produced hydrocarbons (oil and gas production industry). One CEO whose company was rejected pointed out some of the many hydrocarbons ( such as plastics, synthetic fabrics, and energy) used in making the products.

Gillette, Budweiser, The North Face, how did all these companies become sellers of the same product, sex changes, and they aren’t even in the medical field?

North Face customers drive Subarus. They will have nothing bad to say about this. I suspect North Face is not going to suffer like Bud and Target.

Bud Light has become known as “queer beer” so North Face can be “queer gear”.
