Rumors that I had a heart attack are completely false. I am alive and healthy.

Good morning. Happy Friday Eve!
We’ve been waking up to temps just under 60 but going up into the 90s these last few days.
I’m almost able to type normally now. This protective bit of tape and glue the PA put on my fingertip to “reinforce” it is much easier to work with than the previous gauze dressing, but it’s still not quite as sensitive as the skin so I drop ‘e’s sometimes. Still, I’m thankful it wasn’t worse.
Wordle was worse. I was THIS close to an X/6.

To bad.
Oh, wow.
That’s good about your finger, and soon, you’ll be back to normal with your typing. My fingers mostly know what to do, but my eyes don’t always cooperate, and my brain seems to back out completely, sometimes, so anyone who can use all eight fingers along with their thumbs is OK in my book!
Well, it wasn’t an X/6, so hooray for you!!
I was talking with a coworker who had suffered a large piece of broken glass going between the two bones in his forearm. He’s a programmer and had to hunt and peck one-handed for a while.
We agreed he had it worse, but we also agreed the nature of his injury made it easier for him to be careful about his typing. My finger is so close to normal it’s very frustrating when I misspell something.
We used to say, back in the day when we only had to worry about heading home when the streetlights came on, “I felt bad because I lost my hat until I saw a guy who lost his head.”
There is always someone worse off than we are. I look around me every day and see people who are far younger than I am with far more problems. I’m grateful for what I have. And don’t have!
I heard a comedian say,
“I felt bad because I had no shoes until I saw a man with no feet. So I took his shoes. It’s not like he would need them.”
That’s the difference between the 70s and now.
We don’t have comedians these days. Just people who think dissing everyone and everything that’s different is “humor.”
I miss the days of Bob Hope, Red Skelton and Johnny Carson, and others — they made fun of situations and never named names. Things were just FUNNY to them. And they taught us to laugh at ourselves.
We don’t do that any more and that’s really sad.
The other joke I heard that pointed out the difference ...
In the 70s there was a poster that said:
If you love something, set it free
If it comes back to you, it’s yours
If it doesn’t, it never really was.
In the 90s it read:
If you love something, set it free
If it doesn’t come back to you, hunt it down and kill it.
Yeah, that pretty much sums it up.
Sorry I didn’t get to you before you logged off work. I’m fighting a sinus headache which I seldom ever get.
Now THAT is a sleeping kitty!!
Good morning. I hope you had a good night, with no cat spew or other alarums.
Today is FS’s birthday, and I’m thinking he may be taking most of the day off. He’s been trying hard to get this one job done (renovation of a church bathroom named “Betty’s Place” in honor of the patron who paying for it) so he can spend the weekend resting.
PW got in about 1930 last night, as opposed to the 1800 that was the scheduled arrival time.
I had a tough time last night, but on reading the protocol for the Medrol pac, it suggested “sleeplessness might occur.” That’s OK. Today, the dosage is one tablet less, and that should help. It will be a few days or a week or two before I notice much change. Hopefully, the damage to the nerves in my neck isn’t permanent.
Good morning. It takes a while for inflammation to decline with those steroid dosages. I went through that with my ankle, when I first went to the podiatrist, and Tom had it for his back.
Happy birthday to your son! I hope he gets some time off to relax.
Frank and Kathleen and I went to a birthday party for one of the girls from the science team yesterday, and Kathleen has another party this evening and a third tomorrow, if the scheduling works out.
Yeah, the inflammation in my neck has been ramped up for over six weeks, and that means the only way the pain is going to go quickly is if it were injections. So I’ll try to be patient and not whine! I’ve had this same medication before, but it was 30 years ago, so it’s like taking it for the first time.
I guess we’ll have his party tomorrow or Sunday, but I sent him a text (he shuts his phone off at night) with the birthday song, so hopefully, I’ll be the first to wish him that. Thanks! I’ll send your greetings to him later.
Talk about a party girl! I was never invited to birthday parties. Probably because my dad worked out of state and my mother didn’t drive. Or maybe the kids just didn’t like me! LOL! Funny, but it doesn’t seem to have bothered me much.
Happy Friday, Wordle Fans!!
My Triplets and my Quads are now tied, 145 each or 13 since the new memory.

Good morning. Happy Friday!
I’m with kitteh. This is a good day to go back to bed.
It got up to 94 fs yesterday. It should be a little more moderate today.
The Princess met her dog nanny yesterday, which went well. They’ll spend a bunch of Sunday together while we attend a memorial for my F-I-L’s late brother. So I’m glad they hit it off.
Not quite so disastrous on the Wordle front today. In the 511 games I’ve played I’m very close to my 200th par.

Good morning. I wouldn’t mind going back to bed.
Best wishes to Princess and the minder, and to everyone attending the memorial.
Good Friday Morning!
Sounds like everyone wants to go back to sleep!
Hoping that the Medrol pac gives you some relief soon, ‘Face...
You must have rushed into Summer there, ArGee... thus far, we still have only touched 90 degrees F once... may get there today as well...
Interesting Wordle today...

(In the golf analog, this Birdie on the 17th hole puts me at eleven under for the round... ⛳️)
Good deal about the Princess Dog and the Nanny. Maybe they’ll be great friends, in the case of needed future assignments.
I’d love to see 94° but without matching humidity. Air you can drink and water you can’t.
Good job on the Wordle! I’ve played 438 games total, but it’s not quite a year since I X/6 — 297 games.
In the golf analogy, I’m still in the clubhouse, sipping a cold drink of something non-alcoholic. Like water.
Yellacat for the win!
Good morning. I hope you slept well.
I could have, but for my arm. Still, it may be slightly improved. I think.
FS and PW will stop by on their way to Walmart today, since I guess she’s not giving him a party this year. I have a couple of cards for him. Maybe she’s saving the party for Father’s Day.
I’ll see if they’ll take another load to the thrift store for me, since I have a stack of boxes cluttering up my tiny kitchenette.
