We don’t have comedians these days. Just people who think dissing everyone and everything that’s different is “humor.”
I miss the days of Bob Hope, Red Skelton and Johnny Carson, and others — they made fun of situations and never named names. Things were just FUNNY to them. And they taught us to laugh at ourselves.
We don’t do that any more and that’s really sad.
The other joke I heard that pointed out the difference ...
In the 70s there was a poster that said:
If you love something, set it free
If it comes back to you, it’s yours
If it doesn’t, it never really was.
In the 90s it read:
If you love something, set it free
If it doesn’t come back to you, hunt it down and kill it.
