We used to say, back in the day when we only had to worry about heading home when the streetlights came on, “I felt bad because I lost my hat until I saw a guy who lost his head.”
There is always someone worse off than we are. I look around me every day and see people who are far younger than I am with far more problems. I’m grateful for what I have. And don’t have!
I heard a comedian say,
“I felt bad because I had no shoes until I saw a man with no feet. So I took his shoes. It’s not like he would need them.”
That’s the difference between the 70s and now.
