Consumers are being urged to boycott Target in response to their Pride collection for children, with one activist group accusing the retailer of 'indoctrinating and grooming' young people, calling it 'highly inappropriate and disturbing.'
One former Target customer said the company 'deserves the Bud Light treatment' - a reference to the boycott sparked by Bud Light's decision to partner with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney. The disastrous marketing decision wiped $6 billion off the value of the company and saw sales plummet.
Target has supported Pride - celebrated throughout the month of June - every year since 2013.
This year's collection features a range of clothes and home goods, including lime green adult romper suits with the word 'gay' on the back; a 'Live Laugh Lesbian' t-shirt; and a mug emblazoned with the words: 'Gender Fluid'.
It was the collection for children, however, that sparked anger.
The Minneapolis-based company is selling T-shirts for children with the slogan: 'Trans People Will Always Exist!'
It is offering rainbow-striped tutus for toddlers for $13, and $10 baby gros which read: 'Bien Proud'.
The activist group Gays Against Groomers led the outrage.
'This is what you will find in the kid's section of @Target,' they tweeted.
'We urge you to take your business elsewhere. They are indoctrinating and grooming them with LGBTQ ideology. It is highly inappropriate and disturbing.'
The group, founded last year in Wisconsin by Jaimee Michell, says it lobbies 'against the sexualization, indoctrination and medicalization of children under the guise of 'LGBTQIA+'.'

So it wasn’t just Minnesota.
Which is funny if so, because blacks and Moslems don’t cotton homos too well. After all the riots, I’d think that would be obvious not to upset the “natives” there.
it’s doubtful they will- by all rights, they shoulda lost $$ big time back when they created unisex bathrooms to placate the trans community- but apparently they didn’t lose much if any-
Most people didn’t. Target has done so well they probably hope there’ll be another boycott.
We go into one sometimes when we want to walk in an AC environment. But the only thing we buy there are items on clearance, i.e. things they lose money on.
Burger King should be on the list.
OMG
Not here in Central Texas. Every Target store within 25 miles of us (12 total locations) has gone through or is currently going through store remodeling and/or expansion. You don’t do that if you’ve been losing money.
Doesn’t anyone remember that Target was like the first to allow transgenders to use whatever restroom they wanted.
How quickly people forget. And then go back and do business again.
Only can protect those that are mine.
Actually, there should be a list. Posted. Somewhere.
On a FR thread.
Entitled “ENEMY CORPORATIONS”
I haven’t bought one item from Target since their whole bathroom debacle a few years ago SCREW THEM!! Wish I could boycott but I already am!!!
Pretty much all corporations today are the enemy.
So true. Not that I think about it, it’d be easier to post those who are allies.
I stopped going to Target when they evicted the Salvation Army bell ringers.
The difference between BudLite and Target is that for some reason, people actually liked BudLite.
You can't boycott a company that you never shopped at.
Mentally immature white women with opinions is Target's market share, and they're doing just fine without y'all rednecks thank you very much.
For the same reason that a random dude selling products (or his labor) sometimes needs a loan.
You've never run a business, have you?
Regards,
There are levels of woke and leftist to me. Some companies are worse than others.
Where I draw my line is probably different than yours. I can deal with a company giving money to left wing causes. (Walmart) I refuse to deal with companies that try to shove it down my throat. (Target, AB, HEB)
There are companies I don’t deal with for other reasons, GM, Ford, Chrysler (I refuse to buy anything made by the UAW)
I don’t buy Apple, or Nike products because their use of basically slave labor.
So I am not sure there could be a definitive list
Remodeling is often a sign of desperation. If they were growing, they'd be building new stores before selling off the old ones.
Keep an eye out to see if the aisles get wider because they're carrying less merchandise. Empty shelves look very bad for retail so they'll widen the aisles and reduce the display sizes and number. They need to redo everything from floor tiles, electrical fixtures in the displays, and lights in the ceiling to align with the new aisles.
Please go the way of Bed, Bath & Beyond!! PLEASE!
