If you’re the one preparing to defend yourself and you take ‘the offensive’, then, that action is really a defensive move. The offensive was started by the invasive force, and those invaded are just defending themselves.
One of the most important parts of any military offensive is surprise. When an army loudly proclaims when and where they are going to attack they almost never succeed unless they have absolutely overwhelming superiority in numbers or quality of weapons.
Unless they attack somewhere else the Ukes may be heading for a blood bath by telegraphing their intention

The West has invested 3 times Russia’s defense budget into Ukraine with modern weapons yet have nothing to show for it.
Russia is holding the West off using outdated equipment and tactics.
It is an embarrassment, demonstrating why we have not won a war in 70+ years.

I doubt seriously Ukraine is advertising the details of a planned counterstrike. Talking heads surmise and guess, as that is what they do. Think about it: If they were accurate, they’d be taken off the air. The fact they haven’t suggests that Ukraine sees it as psyops, and thus useful.
No, I think it’s100% USDA prime BS. Real people doing real offensives don’t give you a play by play into their preps and plans. But grifters and shakedown con men do.

Which’s what I said: It is not Ukraine giving the play-by-play, it is the talking heads and bloggers. Ukraine is actually playing down any counterstrike, basically saying, “Don’t expect too much.”
