I’m old and I’ve learned that weather guessers and climate forcasters seldom even get yesterday’s weather right.
However, living in NE Florida I do appreciate that the NHC is predicting a slower than usual hurricane season. Fingers crossed.

They say this every year.

People that make these dire predictions that never seem to come true need to be held both Civilly and Criminally liable when they don’t.
How many people will suffer an injury or loss as a result of this prediction? will they spend everything they have in preparation for a HOAX?? That is a BIG LOSS.

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.

I believe I saw that myself about the NHC. It is similar to stock market predictors.

After Katrina, they said we could expect a CAT 5 every year...The next year, there was hardly a season at all.

Meanwhile, I’m shivering here in chilling Maryland with temperatures 20 degrees below normal. BRRR!!!
Want to be able to turn off the heat and open up my windows to enjoy some fresh air.

Every year for the past several years these freaks have been running around like chicken little claiming that it’s going to be an above average, or very active year, blah , blah, blah blaming it all on man made global warming.
And every year they make these predictions, it always ends up being just average or a little below average.

They make these dire predictions every year...eventually they will be correct, just by the law of averages. That one year out of many that they get it right, they will then turn around and say “See??? Globull Warming!!!”.

I think they use dart boards to predict the rain chances.

According to my personal model it’s either going to be a very active season or it’s not. I’ve never been wrong.
