A man has elicited mixed reactions after he was spotted tucking into a box of raw chicken drumsticks at a busy shopping centre in Australia.
As reported by Mirror, the muscular man was spotted diving into the chicken straight out of the supermarket packaging at the shopping centre.
A disturbed shopper took a photo showing the man without shoes, dressed in a vest and biting into the raw meat.
The photo was uploaded to Reddit where social media users could not believe it.
These are the reactions to the post according to Daily Mail.
"The chicken might be raw but he is definitely cooked," one wrote. Another added:
"Can someone please check to see if this man is still alive?'
"Is that raw chicken? Please tell me the photo is deceptive and it's pieces of ham rolled up or something," a third person wrote.
Another netizen joked the man may have been pressed for time.
"He doesn't have time to waste sitting down to eat, or putting shoes on, or cooking his food," they wrote.
"I can smell the salmonella from here,'" a second added. Some noted the chicken enthusiast might have a good reason for his unusual taste.
"He wants a week off work," one person wrote.
"Someone is trying to get a few sick days," another wrote.
"If he's trying to lose weight, this will probably work," a third added.
Warning over consumption of supermarket chicken TUKO.co.ke previously reported that a study by the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) has found that the raw pork and poultry meat that is sold in supermarkets in the country is not safe for human consumption.
According to the research, one could consume bacterial contaminants by consuming the meat.
Scientists said the contamination could be through the extensive use of antibiotics for preservation and growth promotion in chickens and pigs.

I ate raw oysters ONE TIME just to see what all the fuss was about, when I was young and healthy.
Didn’t like them, so never again.
