Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert, 36, divulged this week that her 17-year-old son will make her a grandmother next month.
Boebert was caught on video by Patriot Takes speaking at an event hosted by the conservative group Moms for America when she shared the news that son Tyler and his girlfriend are expecting a son.
'So I'm going to tell you all for the first time in a public setting, that not only am I a mom of four boys, but come April I will be a gigi to a brand new grandson. And Jason and I are so excited to welcome this new life into our family,' she said.

WE know a “lady” in Missouri that at 36 she had 5 grandchildren already. All on welfare of course.

I have a friend who became a great-grandfather at age 54. He commented: “It’s great when you have a daughter that graduates from high school, gets married, and has a child, even if she doesn’t necessarily do it in that order.”
Runs in the family.
The boy needs to work, finish high school and learn a trade. The girl needs to stay home and care for the child. The grandparents need to fill in the gaps. That’s what you do. You make the necessary sacrifices for your family’s well being. It’ll all work out if they all work together.
The daughter of my ex boss got pregnant at 16. The guy was 17 and went into the National Guard at 18 and to junior college. He married her when he got his A.S. degree in auto mechanics and a job and thus benefits. He was 20.
She got her A.S. in medical lab tech a year or so later.
They bought a starter house when he was 23. They now have a nicer house than I do and two more kids.
Then either the boy or the girl will end up becoming the cheater in the relationship in a couple of years.
We can probably make a bet on it.
Always warned my kids if they got pregnant and aborted the child they better be ready to see me flip like cheeeta because that my grandchild.
Glad they are both happily married over 10 year snow, with kids.
The problem isn’t so much the having a child at 17, it’s the unmarried part. Out of wedlock births are rampant and the statistics say that most of them will end up on welfare. Get married and support your kids & I don’t really care if you’re 17, it’s cranking them out for welfare benefits and expecting the taxpayers to pay your and your offspring’s way through life that I have a problem with.
No woman should get government assistance without identifying the father. We should tag those men for 20 years worth of child support instead of the taxpayer !

I was being sarcastic.
Young families used to be the norm.
Until feminists told women to put off families until 35 or older. Be independent.
Reduced our population and families. And created more dependency on government.
Problem with that is, the children have no say in the matter.
NOT a good role model.
One of the reasons the U.S. is so screwed up is that it became wrong to shame others.

According to the freepers on this thread, it’s white trash to keep a family together and it’s ruling class to deny the kid is yours and put the mother through hell trying to get you to acknowledge the child.
Would anyone seriously ban their grandchild from their family just because dad was a year short of majority?
Good luck then. I had a friend in high school back in the early 1970’s, he was 16 and got his girl friend pregnant, abortion was not an option. So the parents of both agreed they should get married. It lasted about 8 years or so. It worked out to an extent. In today’s world I don’t know. lots of pressure’s on both kids.
Became a grandfather at 38. Currently, 55, no great grandkids....yet.
