Two U.S. citizens who were kidnapped last week in a northern Mexico border city were found dead and two others are still alive, the state's governor said Tuesday.

One of the surviving citizens is wounded and the other is not, Tamaulipas Gov. Américo Villarreal said, according to The Associated Press.

The Americans were caught in the crossfire of the cartel on Friday shortly after entering Mexico.

These drug cartels have a strangle hold on Mexico don’t they?

Messing with the cartels is not good. And you don’t even need to go to Mexico — just go to Arizona. Or, really, any other of our states. Cartels have moved north and things are going to get bad right here at home.

I just don’t understand the people who travel to Mexico. I believe this one was for cosmetic surgery. Do people live in such a bubble that they are unaware of the danger a person is in once they cross-over into that country? The cartels rule, both on this side and that side of the border. But once you cross into Mexico, your chance of death is pretty high.

One would think that America would focus a little on both the border and Mexico’s drug cartels’ negative influence on America. But you’d be wrong.

My corporate boss (from Mexico) was here last week. We had a very illuminating dinner conversation.

The cartels own not only key pieces of the Mexican government, but the U.S. government as well. Including the "big guy."

Agree. I heard a guy in one of our local talk radio stations yesterday, saying he’s going to Mexico soon. He said he and his wife feel safe because they’re flying into Mexico,, and a van from the resort they’re staying at will meet them at the airport.

And he said they’re just going to stay at the resort and they’re not going to go wandering around the countryside in Mexico.

I would not take such a trip I agree with you. Just saying some Americans feel safe enough because they’re going to Resorts which cater to foreign tourists.

I don’t understand it either. There are many wonderful places to visit in the US. Plenty of nice beaches, parks, etc. I dunno. Maybe the lure of Mexico is that your dollar goes a bit further.

There’s the crime. And then there’s the tainted alcohol, food poisoning, etc.

No longer worth the risk as I see it.

“Cartels have moved north and things are going to get bad right here at home”.

That’s right. And who knows how many of the millions invading us through the southern border work for the cartels and what they’ll be up to once they get organized.

Welcomed and encouraged by the Obama-Biden regime.
